Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
That's one of the reasons I started sewing when I was a teenager. I was heavy then, too, and all of the big clothes were old lady clothes. I had taken Home Ec. in the 9th grade, and knew my way around a pattern, so off I went. I made some really cute clothes for myself. I even made a gorgeous plaid taffeta ballroom skirt and a black velvet bomber style jacket for my cousin for a fancy dress party she attended with her boyfriend. I was really proud of that outfit, but I learned the hard way about nap on velvet. I had to go buy another piece of fabric when I cut the first one the wrong way. Won't ever make THAT mistake again! LOL!
I got a couple of youngun's what could use a good brusin' or two...
yours
absolutely... not that that’s a bad thing...
I was thinkin’ more along the lines of the Docs inflictin’ this on me... but in your case I could make an exception...
Just tryin’ to provide an outlet fer yuh...
that’s good of yuh...
good tuh see yuh don’t put yer boys lives ahead of muh sanity...
since they’ve used up what little I had left of muh own sanity, it’s the least I could do...
So what did they do this time, anyway?
don’t encourage him...
Can’t say as I can pin it down to any one thing.
Jr. needs a major firestorm applied to his backside (I’ve been gathering kindling all week long).
And Luke needs to learn that theworld doesn’t revolve around him and his electronics.
That’s just sort of the general theme.
Heh, I know what you mean, but it isn't alcohol I'm missing. The coumadin that I'm on precludes not only alcohol, but broccoli, salad greens, soy products and green tea! I'm missing my salads, and late evening green tea. I'm going to ask the cardiologist if I can go off of it, when I see him on Feb. 14th.
Coumadin’s a blood thinner, right? Seems like enough likker ought to compensate...
*snort* I’m on probably the lowest dose available, so that’s why I’m gonna ask the Doc if I can just do a low dose aspirin every day, instead.
I’m off! Time to get ready for work.
See you tonight or tomorrow.
Ooooo, sounds pretty! I’m with SuziQ, if he doesn’t notice, put those pointy toes to some good use. But I think he’ll notice coz you’ll look GOOOOOOOOD!
okay... the docs said it was okay tuh drink in moderation... startin’ Saturday...
they says “you know that alcohol lowers the thresh hold for seizures...”
I says, “ain’t that the point?...”
fer you that's whut, 6 or 7 car bombs?
yeah... whutsyerpoint?...
looks like Jr is safe... fer now...
