Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Cute!
Steve’s been trying to talk me in to getting more layers for a long time but I wouldn’t till we could afford a good sturdy coop and enclosure.
I mentioned it today and he immediately started making plans for the new facility.
He loved the fresh eggs.
Hey! I got a nice compliment at work today and the person that gave it to me didn’t even know I heard her!
There were three of us working...me, another nurse and a new grad nurse on orientation. I was sitting down the hall, charting on the computer and the nurse that I was working with was talking to the nursing superviser down in the nurses station. She said “I don’t want to sound mean, but that orientee doesn’t do anything...I can’t get her to do anything!” The superviser said “You mean [2J]??” and the nurse I was working with said “NO NO! Not [2J]...she’s an old pro. I’m talking about the new grad.”
I was pretty happy about that..one of the rare times I guess I’ll appreciate being called old! Heh heh!
That is a nice compliment! And how fun you got to overhear it like that. ;) I’m glad everything is going so well - sounds like you’ve hit the ground running!
I’m up!
Last week was our first week back to school and the first week I didn’t have orientation...I wasn’t ready for school and although we managed, it was a bit too haphazard for my comfort.
So I got everything ready for the week over the weekend like normal, except I worked too! I have two days off in a row, and I think I’ll take them. Get school going on the right foot this week.
sip
Of course! Heh heh!!
Good morning! I am determined to get my computer work caught up before the boys get up.
Even though it’s Monday, I’m enjoying listening to upper management trying to use the copier. I ~would have~ intervened but the executive assistant showed up.
I wish I was as smart as them. They’re only paid twice what I make...
Ha!!
Good morning!
Good morning...
I’m hoping my chicken found her way into the coop with the others last night.
I swear, I can bond with anything. I worried about her all day :~)
Heaven knows, yer hubbit is proof of that...
Heh heh! Chickens are really sweet, if they’re fairly tame.
The run that Steve and I are planning will have a wire floor even...that way nothing can dig under.
Maybe my hubbit is proof that he has the same tendency :~)
Mmmm... bondage. ;~)
You've apparently come quite a ways from yesterday's "I'd like to have chickens again..."
The rulz book tells me I can't respond to that.
Fascinating what will get you to actually post.
How long have we been friends?
;-D
Logging off for a while...time for school.
Uh, I have no response to that.
