“FYI just heard — Local writer(JFE of the FWST) who talks to Parcells says she believes there is an 80% chance that Sporano gets the HC gig at Miami.

The fat man continues to feast on Dallas groceries!”

Your not referring to The Little Ball of Hate are you! She is pretty sad. Went from being the Old Fart Galloway’s sidekick to her own sorry morning show to getting canned and apparently going back to being the Old Fart’s sidekick again. The circle is complete, rinse and repeat ESPN.

Garett may leave, who knows(shrugs). I think he would be stupid to do so. He needs seasoning. If he jumps for HC to early and sucks he could have a short NFL coaching career. He would be smart to stick it out under Philips and hone his skills and take over the Cowboys in a couple of years.

As far as ATL goes I hope the Zim man gets a shot. He puts good 4-3 defenses together and supposedly he has a solid reputation as a coach. It would provide some stability at that sink hole. If Mr. Blank did that and Zimmer could find an OC that could work with Harrington/Redman and make Norwood the starting RB with a lot more carries maybe they will look better next year. Also get rid of those sorry receivers that are more concern with how fast they can run to the bank to cash their check then help their team win.

Big deal! The 49ers hired some Irish guy named Mick O’McMick (or something) as GM, too.

I’m going to copy-paste something written on the Finheaven forums, but only because it’s absolutely spot-on:

On a team where the defensive coordinator makes as much money as the head coach (rumors say maybe even more), and that defensive coordinator was shoved down Cameron’s throat basically before he even got here...and then to have the PRIMARY area of team meltdown be on the defense...to blame the Head Coach for all that and give him the boot after only a year is just a touch ridiculous.

Remember what Cam Cameron was PRIMARILY brought here to do. He was supposed to bring the offense along, while Dom Capers and Randy Mueller maintained the defense and Keith Armstrong maintained the special teams. Was he able to do that? Well, yes and no. Randy Mueller, Dom Capers and Keith Armstrong all collectively refused to do their jobs. This necessitated that Cameron take his eyes off the offense, just when they had started to get something going. Also, the injury complaints on the defense IMO do not compare with the injuries faced on the offense. On the offense, we faced injuries to our starting quarterback, our franchise tailback, and then Mueller traded away the only talented and polished receiver the offense had.

Through the 7 games before we lost the full trifecta (Trent Green, Chris Chambers, Ronnie Brown), the team averaged 21.3 points per game (and that’s not counting the 7 points from Jason Taylor’s interception return TD). They gained 333.1 yards per game at an average of 5.5 yards per play. The yards per play mark would have been good for top third in the league. The points per game would have been good for top half.

Cameron was DOING his job...until injuries, trades, and mounting pressure to start a true rookie at QB assured that our offense was dismal over the final 9 games. Those numbers went to 10.8 points per game, 252.0 yards per game and 4.0 yards per play. Absolutely dismal numbers, for sure. But again, you lose your starting quarterback, number one receiver, and franchise running back in succession, and then you get mounting pressure to start a rookie at QB for about 4 games, and then your primary backup tailback gets banged up, and then you have to play two games on two of the strangest and most non-competitive surfaces played in the NFL over the last decade...

What kind of team would we have been if Green, Chambers and Brown would not have been lost? What kind of team would we have been if instead of regressing to complete and total ineptitude, the defense actually did perform even mediocre, in addition to Green, Chambers and Brown not getting hurt? Add in some modicum of competence on special teams....and my god.

I’m trying to figure out if I actually won or if they’re listing alphabetically. I can’t see anything that’s tallying the tie-breakers so it’s hard to tell. Either way it was fun, wish it kept going through the post season.

By position and then alphabetically by user name. I wish it would go on through the super bowl, too.
