GULFPORT --Old Man Winter is expected to bring bone-chilling temperatures to South Mississippi for the next several nights, with lows threatening the record 19 degrees.
The frigid forecast prompted the National Weather Service in New Orleans to issue a hard-freeze warning for Tuesday night, which forced officials in Harrison County to open an emergency shelter for the Coast's homeless and those without heat.

Meteorologists are expecting more of the same frigid temperatures on Thursday and Friday.
The Coast could begin thawing out by the weekend with showers and warmer temperatures creeping into the forecast by Saturday and Sunday

Fayetteville here. Daughter # 2 is going to Boone for College next year. She’s planning on taking skiing for PE.

8:20 pm. Temp in Columbus is 25 with 13 mph wind. Wind chill is 15. Granted, that’s not North Dakota cold, but for Muddysippy, it’s brass-bra cold. Probably don’t have to worry about the 16 year old getting honked at for peein on the tree when he walks the dogs before bedtime.
