I'm sorry. I tried watching the video several times but I keep falling asleep about 52 seconds in to it.

What is the gist of what Beasly is trying to say?

In the only family shot I’ve seen of the Huckabees, the men are all wearing blue and white stripped shirts. Not only does the picture agrivate my astigmatism, but they are all obviously on the run from the Fashion Police.

Postine a response to this gutter talk is beneath the dignity of any clear thinking person. How low can it get?

Fred Thompson supported liberal Howie Baker over Reagan. Shiite happens.

I saw this posted on the YouTube comments for this video —

from Mike Huckabee dot com

“I oppose and will never allow amnesty.”

“I oppose and will not tolerate sanctuaries for illegals. “

“I oppose giving driver’s licenses to illegals and supports legislation to prevent states from doing so. “

I guess that website is http://www.mikehuckabee.com/

I haven’t followed Huckabee at all — however — I see he’s generating quite a bit of “heat” from certain Free Republic posters. Some posters are absolutely “rabid” against Huckabee. That makes me start to wonder why that’s so. It’s a curious phenomenon to me, anyway.

I haven’t “signed on” to anyone at this point in time and I’m just sitting back and looking around. But, this “Huckabee bashing” sure has me wondering what is going on... LOL...

Maybe someone can let me know.

Thanks,
Star Traveler

P.S. — Jo, I don’t know if you know anything about Huckabee or not, so I thought I would post this to you, too...

I absolutely love his message. 'Send a message to Wall Street, the Ivory Towers of the east'.. Yeah, message: We support the guy who wants to ease the burden on illegals, to dictate what we do in our personal lives, who will be understanding as he raises our taxes to pay for programs that aren't part of the constitution, and he'll do it while parroting everything Wall Street wants out of this election: elimination of capital gains taxes, more foreign workers, less burden on corporate America for providing health services.

Man, and they can say these things with a straight face too. Man, I love this country.

No one has to bash the Huckester, he can do it himself by just opening his mouth.

We are in a long time war and need a person with National Security, and a Military background.

It would be embarrassing anytime someone like him would go head on with a world leader.

No time for someone like the Huckester with training wheels on Foreign affairs.

We need someone who can hit the ground on day one.

What is your problem? Just because we don’t support Huckabee for President doesn’t mean we hate those who endorse him. I don’t particularly dislike him. He is a man in the mold of President Bush who waves his bible proudly. I don’t want another President Bush. Sorry I can’t take it. If I have to listen to another speech about how traitorous Democrats are patriots I’m going to puke and that is exactly what we can expect from Huck and Mitt.

That said endorsements mean what they mean. I personally want a leader who is a conservative through and through not one who talks like slick willie. We had one Arkansas governor and that was enough.

I have no idea what your comment is about, most people’s problem is with Huck’s moderate record on economic issues and his recent Paul-esque comments about the WOT, not with Beasley who, like a lot of good Conservatives, support Huck.

Those who expose his record and say we can choose better aren’t bashing Huck. Anyone who can’t stand on his record, should be challenged. If they can’t face challenges like that, how will they face the real critical life and death challenges of being President?

Oh, so David Weaseley supports Huck? Another reason for me not to vote for him.

SC and Southern Heritage pings.

Wow, the Huckabee crew has been using some interesting language over the past few months. First, I’m un-Christian if I don’t agree with his support of a massive expansion of SCHIP. Second, I have been responsible for lashing Huckabee 39 times, nailing him to a cross, and crucifying him. And now, those who do not buy into his double-talk are being accused of trying to “assassinate” him, just like people did to Bhutto.

Touchy, touchy, touchy. You seem very defensive, why? So, is any criticism of Huckabee illegitimate? Huckabee seems to make that case and has a history of making that case, that if you disagree with the Huck, you're unChristian. That's a big reason I oppose the Huck and for that matter McCain. McCain also takes any criticism as a personal attack. We've had that for 8 years with Clinton. Only "Clinton-haters" criticized Clinton according to the media.

Bush has shown amazing discipline in not responding to attacks. I admire that about President Bush. He has missed the boat in that he has to have surrogates respond for him.

Huck and McCain are not temperamentally suited for the Presidency.
