Gov. Beasley Reports In (From Huckabee Campaign)

Great News for Huckabee bashers. Here is a video of another honorable statesman, Former SC Governor David Beasley whom under other circumstances would be treated with the dignity and respect he deserves; however we can assassinate his character and malign him for not buying into the Matt Drudge/Fred Barnes/ Sean Hannity talking points. He's fair game now right?

Thanks for the assist. My attention kept getting drawn to the huge star on the chest of that big guy sitting behind Beasly. I kept thinking to myself, "Is that Benny Parsons?"

But then my self would respond, "Can't be. Benny Parsons is dead."

Then my first self would say, "I loved Benny Parsons. Great driver. Great announcer. Funny as all get out."

Then my dog would bark at something and I'd wake up and realize I was watching a video of some guy talking about some other guy but wasn't really saying anything and then ....zzzzzzzzzzz....

Before I fell asleep I was thinking that he was saying let’s just make the entire US the state of Arkansas.

” He is trying to say vote for the hick.... but it is hard to get to that point before falling asleep. “

“Hick”? People of your ilk are the ones who give the Republican party a bad name.

That reminds me of the one person I heard on Fox News say kind words about Mike Huckabee was Michael Reagan about a month ago when they were mocking him on there questioning his intelligence to which Reagan replied that “they said the same thing about Ronald Reagan”. I bet you and your cohorts would have loved it.

But I’m sure you know much more about Ronald Reagan than does Michael Reagan.

What is your problem? Just because we don’t support Huckabee for President doesn’t mean we hate those who endorse him. I don’t particularly dislike him. He is a man in the mold of President Bush who waves his bible proudly. I don’t want another President Bush. Sorry I can’t take it. If I have to listen to another speech about how traitorous Democrats are patriots I’m going to puke and that is exactly what we can expect from Huck and Mitt.

That said endorsements mean what they mean. I personally want a leader who is a conservative through and through not one who talks like slick willie. We had one Arkansas governor and that was enough.

I’m sorry my friend, but Huck is a hick. That simple. Clinton was a hick. Carter was a hick. We need another hick like we need a hole in the head.

I have no idea what your comment is about, most people’s problem is with Huck’s moderate record on economic issues and his recent Paul-esque comments about the WOT, not with Beasley who, like a lot of good Conservatives, support Huck.

Those who expose his record and say we can choose better aren’t bashing Huck. Anyone who can’t stand on his record, should be challenged. If they can’t face challenges like that, how will they face the real critical life and death challenges of being President?

Oh, so David Weaseley supports Huck? Another reason for me not to vote for him.

SC and Southern Heritage pings.

Wow, the Huckabee crew has been using some interesting language over the past few months. First, I’m un-Christian if I don’t agree with his support of a massive expansion of SCHIP. Second, I have been responsible for lashing Huckabee 39 times, nailing him to a cross, and crucifying him. And now, those who do not buy into his double-talk are being accused of trying to “assassinate” him, just like people did to Bhutto.

I’m sorry my friend, but Huck is a hick.

And, at the end of the day, Huck is just not world leader material. No way can this guy do it. Nor Osamabama, Edwards, RuPaul, and the rest of the 'also rans'

Remember everyone, you are voting first and foremost for Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces, not the person who gives you the most warm fuzzy feelings.

I used to support Beasley on his probusiness agenda but he really is a liberal do gooder. Any doubts or questions I had about Huckabee are gone now. Beasley’s endorsement will actually hurt Huckabee in SC unless he is running on the Dem ticket. The Kennedy’s awarded DB the Profiles in Courage award for advocating removal of the Confederate flag from the statehouse dome.

Touchy, touchy, touchy. You seem very defensive, why? So, is any criticism of Huckabee illegitimate? Huckabee seems to make that case and has a history of making that case, that if you disagree with the Huck, you're unChristian. That's a big reason I oppose the Huck and for that matter McCain. McCain also takes any criticism as a personal attack. We've had that for 8 years with Clinton. Only "Clinton-haters" criticized Clinton according to the media.

Bush has shown amazing discipline in not responding to attacks. I admire that about President Bush. He has missed the boat in that he has to have surrogates respond for him.

Huck and McCain are not temperamentally suited for the Presidency.

David Huckabee and another teenager had violated state animal-cruelty laws in the hanging of a stray dog at a Boy Scout camp in 1998. also this past April the same son was arrested for taking a gun aboard a plane.
