I’m a recently retired mathematician living in NC. I enjoy fishing, playing the piano, and other retiree stuff. One of the best things about retirement is to not have to deal with the corporate liberal types, who are vastly too influential due to their propensity to use legal force to implement their world-view. The influence of the Grutter case is widespread, and the fact that this travesty was promulgated by a Reagan appointee (O’Connor) is sad indeed. There were some other mistakes of Reagans first term, but there were so many positives. We need to regain that momentum briefly enjoyed during Reagan’s first term. And this time around, maybe we can avoid the mistakes!
