What are the climate change implications? Surely this was a habitable place with water and vegetation several millenniums ago if it was a major trade center.

Eighteenth Dynasty is 3500 years ago. That’s an awfully long time for exposed hieroglyphics to stay readable. I think I’ll wait a bit before I get too excited.
