You're better off going to the Post Office

The USPS gets a bit overwhelmed this time of year too.

That’s interesting. Perhaps your husband’s business partner should tell FedEx that he can’t guarantee his check will have sufficient funds. Being Christmas, and all that . . . .

If there is no guarantee, then they should not offer the service at this time. Do they have a disclaimer when you pay for the service?

Most of my clients are accepting scan copies via e-mail then sending standard overnight via FedEx. Gets there next day anyway, just not in the AM. Half the price.

unbelievable. They shouldn’t sell it if they can’t deliver it.

I wonder if I can sell some goods to fedex and then have them all break or not work as promised...then I can just say I can’t guarantee it during this time of year.

If you scream loud enough to the right people you can get your money back, but it typically isn’t worth the hassle so just posting and telling all your friends is your best revenge.

With all due respect to you, I find that hard to believe. FedEx is a superb company....relentlessly focused on their core mission..excellent service. It doesn’t sound right.

Shouldn't this be in breaking news? I mean considering the importance of it all?

To the best of my knowledge nobody guarantees overnight delivery during Christmas. I was under the impression this was common knowledge.

The FedEx representative told me there would be no refund, since
there is no guarantee at this time of year. I asked if the package
would be delivered today, again, no guarantee at this time of year.

I've "been had" by both FedEx and UPS in similar situations.

Made me madder than snot.
I guess I should also start using DHL so I can hit the trifecta
of promised, yet undelivered service at premium prices.

The USPS gets a bit overwhelmed this time of year too.

It took them a week and a half to get my mother her present, when usually it takes 2 days to get mail to her.

Also keep in mind that the Post Office's guaranteed delivery packages are delivered (via airplane and ground) by, you guessed it, FedEx. They have had a contract with the Post Office for several years now to delivery express mail.

Yes, it’s a busy time of year. If you can find someone to provide the service you need then go there.

The Post Office's "Priority Mail" won't guarantee 3 day delivery any time of the year.

I'd trust FedEx's or UPS' package tracking system much more than the USPS.

Don’t bother ordering anything from L.L. Bean if you expect it for Christmas either.

I placed an order weeks ago, and was told the items were in stock, but when I called after not receiving the order I was told “they were unavailable”. It didn’t matter what the print out of my order said (in stock) or what I was told on the phone when I placed the order.

The company never notified me of a problem. They could have called, as they did when there was an issue originally with one of the items, but they never did. I’m not buying any of their over priced garbage in the future...can you tell I’m a wee bit angry? Oh well, Merry Christmas.
