August Schell Brewing Company has reached a few milestones in its 147-year history: It survived the Sioux Uprising of 1862, which left the rest of New Ulm in ruins, and even made it through 13 years of Prohibition. On Wednesday, Minnesota's oldest brewery reached another landmark by cranking out its millionth case of beer since Jan. 1. Schell owner and brewmaster Ted Marti, along with some of the brewery's 44 employees, celebrated the landmark case - 24 bottles of Schmaltz's Alt, named after previous owner Warren "Schmaltz" Marti - Wednesday with a ceremony and pub crawl through town.

lol... I grew up on Hamm’s and Grain Belt and Schlitz..
Hopefully they are making money. I get so cranky when these regional breweries are weak and are swallowed up by the A-B, General,Labatt’s and Miller’s of the world only to have their recipes ruined.
