One of the first things we did with our latest upgrade was to get a view of Apple's market share by measuring the usage share of all Macintosh operating systems. This map jumped out at us as having a striking resemblance to the U.S. red/blue election map from 2004:

Libs need something simple that a two year old can use.
The rugged individualism of conservatives allows us to use PC's loaded with Microsoft Windows that requires mental stability to use and also the requirement of knowing a nerdy kid or family member who can do triage on the often misbehaving PC.
Basically, in these areas, people conform to a norm in order to 'fit in'... this is why you see political campaigns focus not only a large portion of their campaigns in these hot zones, but also the type of campaigns- such as "Vote or Die" or "rEVOLution"- they are used to cause people to emotionally become connected to the group dynamic and not want to stray.
This really is one of the keys the Republican party has failed at in its marketing, but its also tough as one of the underlying core principles of our party is to promote rugged individualism, not following like sheep.
These are also areas with higher concentrations of graphic designers, video editors, musicians etc. who commonly use the Mac platform.
I build and use PC's because I like to change and upgrade hardware and I use 2 financial trading programs that only run on Windows based platforms. Macs don't allow you to fiddle with the hardware even though they use cheap ECS motherboards and cheap RAM for which they charge exorbitant prices.
The smug, arrogant, condescension of many if not most Mac users (Not Freep Mac users, who are wise and properly informed and pragmatic about the realities of the current world) goes right along with the smug, arrogant, condescension of so called Democrats.
What kind of computers will the Dhims be able to use when they’ve succeeded at finally destroying and enslaving the US to the Islamofascists and socialists? Will there be any computers left? Any access to dissenting information that doesn't follow the party line?
LMAO!!!!
.............I guess the rats hate Bill Gates more than pubbies............
Well, they hate all corporations. Even those which are liberal corps.
I wouldn’t keep saying that one openly.
Go into just about any computer based forum in general, and a linux forum in particular, and say something pro bush or whatever.
Let us know what you get. :-)
Now granted, linux isn’t hard to use. But you’ll find that most linux users are *NOT* conservatives. And the linux users who were around when it wasn’t easy to use........ I’ve seen more who are liberal than not.
I think the results might be bogus. My ISPs access to the internet is in Chicago.
My ISP is located in Purchase NY
I'm located in Colorado
When I look up my IP address it is located in Purchase NY
That’s a sweet map.
If you don’t mind, how did you come up with that?
I found the website, but couldn’t get any further than that.

I didn’t, I just remember it was out there and started googling ‘US Election Maps’
Yeah, but it seems that most ‘creative’ people are leftists.
Any programmer that I’ve ever met is a leftist, and those I’ve seen online seem to have a left wing world view, though I normally won’t engage in politics on computer based forums. I have different habits for different places/groups.
I am likely 100 percent wrong and off my rocker, but hey, I am having a bad day.
Yeah, I’ve had the same suspect. Most mac users have a whiff of elitism, and some are straight up elistists. That’s who most leftists portray themselves as. Just look at the media. They make it clear that they are soooooo much better than the rest of us, especially us red staters.
..........I build and use PC’s because I like to change and upgrade hardware............
That’s where my roots are, but I don’t do much upgrading anymore. Now I just use a computer that works and that’s let me away from windows and towards linux.
If I could’ve built a mac I probably would be a mac user a long time ago. But I’m just not interested in self-obsoleting OEM boxes.
I really really really really really wish someone would offer real build your own laptops, not these barebones crap boxes that are currently available. I’d love to piece together a portable.
Oh, and FWIW ECS boards may be cheap but I own one. They’re very decent. But if apple does indeed use ECS boards that just makes me dislike them even more for overcharging by that much.
They may be. I don’t know. But considering that you’re a mac user who is still in a big city locale, it doesn’t seem to disrupt the numbers all that much.
Ping!
oh, I see. Well thanks anyways :-)
