What I want to see are the pictures of him in the black and white striped prison uniform he wore to court today.

Hell probably be out in 6 months.Does he get any leniency for voluntarily starting his prison time back on Nov. 19? You would think that would win some brownie points with the judge, but who knows.

Yeah, it’s too bad that Moose doesn’t have what it takes in Durham to get out of legal trouble :-)

"The sentence first has to survive the appeals process."When you arrive at a deal with the prosecution and plead guilty, I don't believe that you can appeal. In the unlikely event that a judge would allow the plea to be withdrawn, Vick would have to go to trial and roll the dice for a much longer sentence. My guess is that he will stay quiet and do his time.
To: thefactor
He’ll play the starting center position in prison.

I wish for vick to be a non-person. Let him be ignored. Let him be poor. Let him be alone. Personally, I don’t agree with the Government to put him away and add to their costs, but they can fine him for every penny he has and give it to animal shelters.

There is no parole or early release in the Federal prison system. Vick will serve everyday of the 23 months.

yeah, but the guys who rolled on him each got a year. and they weren't as involved as vick was is what i'm hearing.
sentence recommendations are usually followed, you're right. but in the end, it's all in the judges discretion.

Vick given a 23 month sentence. (With apologies to Dan Rowan):

Michael Vick is a bad guy, but two years in prison for a PLEA BARGAINED DEAL is just too much.He trusted the government and they screwed him. Moral of the story is what you get for trusting ANYTHING in dealing with the government.

You think this sentence is too tough? Bull! All I have to say is good riddance to bad rubbish! If I were the judge, I’d have given him the full five years and I am a conservative!

THere should be a pool here on who thinks Vick will play again and for what team? My gut feeling is yes, he’ll play again (he’s still better than Rex Grossman even after 2 years in the pen)...He makes a statement that he’s had time to reflect on his life, blah, blah, blah, does the apology dance for some NFL team (which they’ll require as a signing point), and then play for someone like the Raiders!
To: SE Mom
12-18 months recommended by prosecution..the judge apparently disagreed. Good for him. 12- 18 months and the judge gave him 23 months. Damn he sure threw the book at him. LOL, he'll be at spring practice.

I am no leftist but I believe the sentence is just because he was involved with and had animals tortured to death, not just killed for losing fights where money was bet. Quite obvious you think our furry creatures are not important and creations of God.
