And in Texas, yet, not even a Blue state.
There are plenty of ordinances that already cover disturbing your neighbors. Noise is noise. Parking problems are parking problems. In a free country, the CAUSE of those problems shouldn’t matter.
If it’s a zoning issue because they are running a ‘business’, is the city also cracking down on Tupperware parties in the home ? What about the woman that gives piano lessons in her home ?
This is prudishness, pure and simple.
Yep. If they want the parties to stop, just make it illegal to park on the streets from 0200 to 0600 and then send some flatfoots out there to right a hundred or so parking tickets.
If the parties are loud, ticket them for disturbing the peace.
If they're selling liquor, cite them for running a bar without a license.
In a free country, the CAUSE of those problems shouldnt matter.
What makes you think this is a free country?

I google Duncanville Cherry Pit, big mistake-porn links. It’s advertised on swinging websites as a weekly club asking for donations. That takes it out of the normal residence dwelling use to an institutional use, IMO.
google=googled
I hate getting the government involved—this is Texas, form a neighbor posse—you want the parties to stop—easy—just get 25 of your neighbors along with a handycam standing in front of the house and film em—you don’t even have to do anything with the film—the presence of filming will scare this morons...if you dont get a change in behavior-start posting the video to a website that you create called “Duncanville Swingers.Com” or some such thing SHAME baby, go for the Shame!!!
Happy to help, and set the record straight.
You are lieing, and bearing false witness against "many Texas Freepers". Using lies and slander to insult Americans is quite the fad now, and is considered sophisticated & stylish......so, you got that going for you.
I see. So you have a log of every post by every one from Texas and you just checked it? You found no instances of people from Texas bashing all of California when a story like this comes up from San Francisco?
You had better check your records because it is quite common. There are stories about perverts and weirdos from all over the country posted here on FreeRepublic. But when one of those stories pops up from California we have an onslaught of"What do you expect from Kommiefornia" and "I hope California burns to the ground" etc. etc. As one who spends his time defending his home state, my observation has been that those attacks and insults largely come from people who identify themselves as being from Texas. Sorry that bothers you. Maybe you should pay attention and ask them to stop it.
Yes.

To be sure, there have been many instances of Texans taking issue with the behaviors and attitudes of Californians. It also rained here last week, and a moose bit my sister once.
However; none of these relate to that of which we speak.
No Texan has ever said "everyone is normal in Texas. No liberals, no perverts, no crime".
Asserting they have is unsupportable, and is an outright lie.
Ah I see. You are incapable of understanding the concept of sarcasm.
Well go ask Mommy and Daddy to explain it to you and tell them the nice man on FreeRepublic thinks you shouldn't be browsing the Internet unmonitored.
Dan,
Any New Mexican can tell ya’ that Texans are egomaniacs and real bad skiers.
And they have no idea how to cook spicy foods. ;)
It happens, on occassion.
"You had better check your records because it is quite common...

See, now that I read it again....
I'm just going to go ahead and let you back-peddle out of this.
You have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
PS: I'll ask them to stop picking on you.
Damn right!
Are there any places in New Mexico you could recommend?
GEORGE: You’re not going to do it? What do you mean, You’re not going to do it?
JERRY: I can’t. I’m not an orgy guy.
GEORGE: Are you crazy? This is like discovering Plutonium... by accident.
JERRY: Don’t you know what it means to become an orgy guy? It changes everything. I’d have to dress different. I’d have to act different. I’d have to grow a mustache and get all kinds of robes and lotions and I’d need a new bedspread and new curtains I’d have to get thick carpeting and weirdo lighting. I’d have to get new friends. I’d have to get orgy friends.... Naw, I’m not ready for it.
GEORGE: If only something like that could happen to me.
JERRY: Oh, shut up you couldn’t do it either.
GEORGE: I know.
GEORGE: Do you ever just get down on your knees and thank God that you know me and have access to my dementia?
Id have to get new friends. Id have to get orgy friends.
I suppose the fact that these are not parties amongst “friends” but advertised to the public would make a difference.
I think cops shut down “raves” held at people’s homes for the same reason — once you advertise to the public, you are a business.
Still ... many businesses are operated out of a home. There must be limits based on the number of customers in a residence operating as a business.
PS. Visiting sites for swingers is probably a mistake. These are not always attractive people in the “lifestyle”.
And in Texas, yet, not even a Blue state.
It has been my experience that "Republican" and "Nanny Stater" are not mutually exclusive.
