Yeah, sure. Ok, Mizzou and West Virginia fans.

Tell me all about how you're the best and how great the BCS is.

Now, voters are going to have bend over backwards to distort their ballots to get the matchup that they want.

Can't have Georgia go in. They didn't even win their division!

Can't have Kansas go in. Same thing! But..on the other hand, they only lost one game. But, on the other hand, their schedule sucks!

Well, we've got to put LSU in. They won their conference. Pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzeeeee.

Somebody hand me a barf bag while I yak.

LSU deserves the championship berth more than the other teams ahead of them. It’d be different if WVU or Missouri won, but they didn’t.

OSU/LSU in the national title game. OSU wins by 7.

Hawaii vs. USC.

The only undefeated team vs. the team playing the best right now (which isn't surprising now that they're healthy again).

LSU's two losses were three overtime affairs. The SEC is the toughest conference. I say that as a Kansas fan. I am more upset about Ohio State being in the title game. Their non-conference schedule was a joke and the Big Ten is really weak this year. The fact that they lost to Illinois should rule them out.

If we wanted to the two best teams to play, it would be USC vs Georgia at this stage of the season.

Brad Edwards is a whiner. We need playoffs as much as the US needs hellery as president.

I am a WVU fan and I think the BCS is a very bad system. Unfortunatly money rules and the BCS was put in place to protect the Bowl System.

In the game last night WVU sucked!!!! There is no way we deserve a shot at the championship.

In fact ia a post last week I put forth the theory that if Mizzou and WVU won that the BCS would put Ohio State above us on strength of schedule.

Just because we cheer for a certain team that doesn’t mean were cannot think for ourselves.

USC and LSU are probably the two best teams. Ohio State is probably going to get the nod for number 1; I’m guessing Ohio State - LSU for the championship. As for the other matchups, there will be a lot better bowl matchups out there than either USC - Ill or Ga - Hawaii.

Right now the only thing I want to complain about is Mushberger's handling of the Big XII championship game last nite. For the first half, he and Herbstreit kept talking up Missouri and how great Chase Daniel is. I can understand that, because they wanted to keep people tuned in to the game.

For the second half when my team started to pull away, they talked about nothing that had to do with the game they were supposed to be announcing - only the abortion (pardon my use of the term but it works) called the BCS. Well except for calling the winning QB "ordinary", that is, after lobbying for sainthood for Chase Daniel during the first half. Other than that it was all BCS. They barely put the camera on the game because Musberger and Herbstreit just wouldn't STFU about who's gonna play who and get back to the game.

Any two Division I teams with one loss or fewer and I won't complain. I'm still waiting for someone to make me Emperor for Life like Chavez so I can decree that all the major bowl games (Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar) will be played on New Year's day and will constitute the first round of an eight-team playoff.

It could very much end up being the OSU vs. OU Bowl Championship. But this wild and crazy college football season has made the BCS look like a BIG JOKE. Bring on the bracket system!

If LSU (loser to unranked team the last game of their season) gets in, I am going to find something to do other than watch the fake National Champion Ship. It will futher add stink to the BcS.

The two teams that deserve to play for the title are Hawaii and Appalachian St.

Post season conference championships are a joke. They place too much weight on one game and are essentially saying 12 games isn’t enough to determine a conference champion and god forbid we might have co-champions!

I know most dont think they should be there but Hawaii is undefeated. Boise state got shafted last year and now Hawaii?

Funny - nobody at ABC/ESPN/Disney had a bad word to say about the BCS when they were carrying the games.

Now that Fox owns the rights suddenly A/E/D have discovered that the BCS is bad thing.

Amazing coincidence.

It has been eons since there was such parity on the gridiron in the college game, but that's not what counts in big time college football -- politics, power plays, and prejudice do. For the second consecutive year, the nation's only undefeated team is left out in the cold, deemed lucky to be let into a high-profile bowl game (this year Hawaii, last year Boise State, both WAC champions).

Oh, no, Hawaii couldn't ever beat LSU, the know-it-alls would say if asked. But they also would have said Pittsburgh couldn't ever beat West Virginia, Stanford couldn't ever beat USC, and Appalachian State couldn't ever in a million years beat mighty Michigan in Ann Arbor in front of 100,000 screaming fans there to see an easy victory. What about the fact that Boise State DID defeat Oklahoma in last year's Fiesta Bowl, one of the most thrilling games in NCAA history? Fuhgettaboutit. And once again, we have an SEC team and a Big Eleven Ten team in the alleged Championship game. What a surprise.

Let's be honest: If your favorite team or alma mater is not in the SEC, Big Eleven Ten, Pac-10, Big 12, Big East or ACC conferences (or Notre Dame), it is playing just for fun. It has NO CHANCE at a national championship. You schools from the WAC, Mountain West, Big West, MAC, Sun Belt, etc: Thanks for showing up. Here are your lovely parting gifts: Bowl games that most people won't attend, watch, or notice.

If I won a million dollars tomorrow, one of the things I would do is take off a couple of months and write a book exposing the college football elite conferences' selfish, illogical, and counterproductive grip on the game and the NCAA's hypocritical refusal to change. There is NO REASON why an NCAA football playoff can't happen, and tradition is a sorriass excuse for letting the inequity continue, especially since MORE money would be made if there was a legit playoff.
