My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

“So are you up partying?”
Lets see,
-I’m breathing
-I have the entire 4th row here
-we have food and libations and few inhibitions
-the neighbors are gone
Yeah, I think I am!

I have just (ouch) been informed they are the THIRD (ouch) row not those lazy babes from the 4th row! Sorry about that ladies, I missed some school as a demented and strange child.

Happy New Year Lairites! It is amazing just how quickly a year does pass. I am sure that with some reluctance we all can count a little more grey hair, wrinkles and aches and pains. As we open our eyes from sleep this year and look at the ceiling, let us remember that each day is a gift.

LOL, isn’t that the truth??
Well, the paper says, a nasty storm is on its way, it is now raining. We had a light snow in the night hours. We can expect temps to bottom out.
Sounds like a fun January coming up. How’s things your way?

Jumped right on that sucker, dint ya? LOL
Squid update: In Dubai, missed direct connection to Kiev so going roundabout route through Vienna. We are here in the first class lounge, sipping Stella Artois. And then...I found the single malt!
Pics to follow, but may not be until February, depends on what happens in Kiev. Derparting Kabul was very sweet, with some (I hope) clear pics of snowy mountains.
BTW, there is an extremely attractive Philippina who checked us in; she made eyes at me. I swear! Okay, so she looked at me. But there was eye contact! So in THIS sailor's mind...well you know. Anyway, memories being made as I am on my way to a former Soviet country to get smarter in my US military job. How scary can this get?! LOL...
Remember Johnn and NYA, we need Hryvnias for bail, once I reach Ukraine. Here we require many, many Dilliwhackers. Or something like that. Dirhams maybe? Oops...single malt is empty. Updates to follow...

Let us look ahead with anticipation
First Song
I remember the kiss of spring
grasses growing from under the snow
and the new wind turning warmer
as the sun touches you like a lover
watching a bird soar and hover
snow melting from around their cover
each a sign that Winter must go
and even birds are but want to sing
