My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Drunks at 2 AM aren't too bad. They resemble the homeless drinkers seen during the day.
Other things one can see in NYC are significantly more unhealthy.

I can’t dictate worth a darn. the words go from my brain to my fingers, bypassing my mouth! Fingers have been smarter than my mouth since I was a kid. LOL....
besides some typos, my most irritating stupid problem is when I’m busy writing, I’ll put a period in a quote where a comma should go.
But I did it. The 26 chapters of EIMH are now clean, as is my little piece Scared. The quarterly competition can now commence!
And now I feel free to work on chapter 27...parts of the mystery will now be revealed (probably not completely for 3 or 4 chapters, and the quest can commence.)

Here’s a little piece that I wrote for EIMH: It’s about kitsune, foxes, in a Japanese context. Inari is a kami who’s most closely associated with foxes. Song in the story is sung by a kitsune in human form.... (this story has 7 characters that are kitsune.)
The foxes dance beneath the moon,
an August moon, a harvest moon,
Winter will be coming soon,
snow and wind and sleet.
The foxes dance the long, long night,
A shining night, a magic night,
Courtship blooms by pale moonlight
by nose and nip and sigh.
Inari smiles while foxes dance,
laughing dance, happy dance,
Kami blessing while foxes prance,
tail and ear and paw.

Which brings to mind the question, what would networks do to Art Linkletter’s “Kids Say the Darndest Things” if it were on air today?

It would be considered not PC and drummed off the air.

“The foxes dance beneath the moon”
Beautiful!
As for dictating, it seemed difficult until I got the hang of it, (best done alone so other stop asking you what you said!) It took me about a day and a half to get comfortable, and then I was surprised at the speed. A trick is to do a particular chapter is to just say what your mind forms, and then go back and check punctuation. You will then have something shaped that you can then make changes to with both ease, and greater creativity. It is easier to make changes and do so with great clarity once there is something on the page. I found I could do a chapter in as little as a day, and then use a few days to refine and polish it, often seeing a better line and very little writer’s block. I also found my imagination seemed sharper and more ‘colorful’ when the restriction of my fingers was bypassed.

In honor of the military folks so far from home who fight to keep us free and safe. Let us not forget their strife and pain, danger amid duty.
Cold nights
and hot days,
as a darkening wind sings of battle
and true comrades in arms, go forth
Hot steel and war’s fire so bright
judgment made swift, wrong or right
heroes come from distant west and north
heralded by the grinding roar and rattle
as each plays
in fate’s sight
