[Soaring Feather]

My Dragonfly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Antonov 124 is a real giant of an airplane. It was the one that took the EP-3 off of Hianan Island back to Georgia after a mid-air with a Chinese F-8.

Like one of my guys said here: We may have won the cold war, but they’re taking our money hand over fist to fly our stuff around. The Russian air force is alive and well, flying support missions. All their retired officers “work for” us it seems.

The Antonov 124’s fly over my apartment here in Sunnyvale in support of the space station. I can hear them 2 miles out at the IP on their approach. It certainly is a sight to see.

I guess money staves off hard feelings since we “supposedly” aided the Mujadeen during the defeat of the Russians when they occupied Afghanistan.

Thank you both so much for the lovely posts! I can’t remember the last time I visited FR - probably the last time I replied to y’all. I get my nose stuck in a book too thoroughly, obviously.
