My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It snows here at times..but usually melts quickly. We don’t have the road equipment you all do so it’s a mess if it lasts..It usually freezes over and it’s all slip and slide time. The highways get all the attention and neighborhoods get none. It snowed last April!

...on leave I hope...
I wish! No, just busy for a few days. Was disassembling helos for a transport to a rework facility. It was great to be busy.
Apparently I'm too old for physical labor: I'm afraid I messed up my back, smashed one finger, whacked some knuckles, and also deep bruised my ribs or an internal organ. Ow, my pancreas! LOL Not that bad, but sure feels like it.

Good to go. Sore but satisfied, work-wise. Happy to be here.

Moved copters? I am fine..I am looking forward to my son’s family coming Sunday for our Christmas Celebration..Mom doesn’t cook this time..They are taking me out!

Good for you! And them for taking you out, that is a nice break from the huge meal prep.
Helicopters have gone to Slovakia (found out was Slovakia vice Czech Republic) for rework. Had to remove all blades, some antennas, horizontal stabs and other stuff on top to fit into Antonov 124-100 aircraft. I have pics of the loading process and someday the 'net will be good enough here to post them. Awesome aircraft!

I feel strange not cooking for a holiday visit..but I will enjoy it! They will do Christmas day with my DIL’s famiily.
Oh do post some pictures when you can..
I will be alone Christmas Day and am looking forward to checking in to see if any one “over there” checks in..My daughter is ill and cannot make it ..and I don’t trust my car to drive to Houston as I once did.
I am going to count my blessings again on Christmas day and thank God for the Reason for the season.

Oh my goodness, so sorry to hear this. Are you resting now - I mean on some kind of no work thing?? Messed up backs are no joke, nor is the internal stuff. I think that kind of busy is no so good.
You take care now, ya hear?? I’ll have this Navy Vets give you a talking to. ;0)
