Nice try timmah.....There is a clear and obvious point that brownsfan is making and this is the 3rd or 4th time you people have deliberately ignored it...here it this....LAST YEAR THE BIG TEN PLAYED THE SEC ON 3 BOWL GAMES....THE BIG TEN WON 2 OF THOSE 3....GOT IT TIMMAH.

Now go take Lassie for a walk!

****I thought Ore. was going to make it, until QB got hurt...****

That was a darn shame. He probably would have won the Heisman if he had played these last games

As Ronald Reagan once said about the ACLU....”I wear their indictment like a badge of honor.” You are truly an over the top moron.

“Big Ten is a girls league. You need to face up to it.”

I don’t usually argue with women, espcially a woman who calls herself “Timmy”.
Try to focus miss. The SEC fans have been telling us how great the SEC is. So, a poster points out that the Big Ten beat the SEC in 2 of 3 bowls. Doesn’t that mean the Big Ten is a better conference?
Now, regretfully, I must argue with you on another point miss. I realize, being a woman, you think you know a girl’s league. But, Ohio State and Michigan are quite healthy, in fact, Les Miles is going to jump to coach Michigan. Hmmmm... leaving one of those vaunted SEC programs. I guess he couldn’t handle the inbreds that matriculate there.
Now go fix your makeup, maybe you can find yourself a real man, you know, the kind up north in the Big Ten.

I think you deliberately twist my words, Hillary. McFadden is a great player (I think I said that), but he is used in a gimmicky fashion (I don't see how you can dispute that). Winning at Arkansas has become secondary to fashioning an offense that allows McFadden to pad his stats. Arkansas' coach evidently thinks McFadden's quest for Heisman is more important than pursuing team goals.

Really? Let's take a look at your words then.

Your Post #67 reads in part,

As for Tebow, I like him. But the number one stat for quarterbacks is wins, and he inherited the defending national champions. Three losses should eliminate him from Heisman consideration. I can understand the infatuation with McFadden, who probably should have won last year, but he's become a gimmick player on a team that was out of it early.

I simply throw out some pertinent stats and you accuse me of twisting your claim that he's a gimmick player?. Your assertion that he's a gimmick player suggests he's not genuinely talented and worthy.

Nutt used McFadden the way anyone would who wanted to get the most out of one player on offense. Their QB barely qualifies as such and their receiving core is a joke. He'd be a Nut not to exploit his considerable talents when he otherwise lacks some vital components... and I'm no great fan of the coach either but he can spot greatness.

Oh, and calling me Hillary--that's real cute, Timmy.

That’s funny.

Sadly it was true last year. Hats off to the Gators, great run.
Fortuneately this is a new year.

PLEASE bring on a playoff!

Mind you, this year a Plus One four-team playoff will cause fistfights because so many highly-ranked teams lost, which essentially resulted in a situation of anybody's guess on who would fill the BCS #1 to #4 spots for the playoff in the first place. I do think we will get a Plus One playoff system when the BCS contract is renewed in 2010.

Whether or not the Bucks or the Trojans make it to the Rose Bowl, the USC-Ohio State rivalry, on hold since 1990, is about to be revived, as Ohio State plays in the Coliseum next year, and we travel to Columbus the following year. The rivalry between the two schools dates back to 1937, when Troy edged the Bucks 13-12 in the Coliseum. USC currently leads in the series 11-9-1.

I hope to be able to attend the 2009 game at Ohio State—Columbus has good German restaurants.

Wow, you’re lucky, got an extra ticket?
Columbus is a nice enough place, and Germantown is fun.
Enjoy.

For what its worth....scout.com has Florida playing Illinois in the Citrus Bowl and Georgia playing USC in the Rose Bowl. If that happens it will be the first tiime UGA has played outside of the US South since 1966.

That would be interesting. The Trojans haven't played Georgia since 1960, when they brought the Bulldogs to heel, 10-3.

Wow, I did not know that. I do know that UF has not played a regular season game out of the South since they went to Syracuse in 1991 (...and got pummelled, back when Syracuse was still a power).

Kansas never led in the game. Missed FGs are a part of the game, last I checked. So is making a great play on an interception.

Gee, 14 penalties for 141 yds vs. 2 for 25. Are officials’ calls (and non-calls) part of the game too?

Another Brent Pusburger fan. I suppose you’re a Michigan fan, too, just like Brent.

No, I despise the U of Michigan and root against them every game because of the left-wing racists who run the school.

No, I don't want to see Ohio State in the title game because they have no business there. They would lose to either West Virginia, Mizzou or Florida by 20 points. Who wants to see a repeat of last year's pathetic joke?
