“The gators will probably play a little better next year when they have more than 5 starting seniors.”
Oh what a crap excuse! But then, I expect no better for SEC loonies. OSU starts 3 seniors this year.
He is the very definition of the best player in college football.
Must hurt to type:
Florida 41 vs. Ohio State 14
Do it again, it’s therapeutic.
“And as I recall, last year Meyer beat a pretty good coach, by the name of Jim Tressel, you may have heard of him.”
Les Miles, Rich Brooks, is there a difference? Tressell will get to beat Miles when he comes to Michigan. BTW, if the SEC is such a great conference, why can’t LSU keep a coach?
Quit living in the past... how good are you this year?! :)
Actually Einstein, the Big Ten won both the Citrus and Outback bowls against SEC teams. So that would mean that the Big Ten won 2 of the 3 games versus SEC teams. But of course that info will be conveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeniently forget since it doesn't fit your SEC IS THE GREATEST FOOTBALL CONFERENCE EVER template.
“but but but.... tressel let his players get drunk last year and thats why they lost the championship, they werent really outplayed by the gators... just ask the poster above.”
OSU did have a problem before the game. One of those things that comes out later. I don’t think it changed the outcome, just the magnitude. Should have been a closer game. But Florida was the better team last year and would have beaten OSU’s A game. OSU has trouble with a running QB who looks to pass first. If a QB wants to run first, OSU will clobber him. A guy like Tebow gives them, (and a lot of other teams), fits.
You rather conveniently ignore brownsfan's point. And you know what it is. But it's easier for the ignore it.
“thats what they said last year, OSU and Michigan were the best teams who had ever played or would ever play,lolololol.... Big 10 came out pretty sucky against the SEC in bowl games last year.”
Yep, winning 2 out of 3 sucks. 3 out of 3 would have been better. But now I understand, in SEC land if you lose to one of their teams, your whole conference is inferior.
Interesting.
“what are you drinking?”
Something that doesn’t make me stupid enough to claim the SEC beat the Big Ten in the bowl season last year.
What’s in your cup?
You would think we Ohioians would get a little more love. Afterall we saved America is both 2000 and 2004 and as an added bonus unlike the people of a certain state south of Georgia we can actually read election ballots. LOL!
Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.
“Do it again, its therapeutic.”
I’ll stick with:
BigTen 2, SEC 1.
And, in the here and now:
#3 - OSU
...
#10 - Florida
You said “Must hurt to type:
Florida 41 vs. Ohio State 14”
Did you used to tell your friends on the playground:
“My Dad can beat your Dad?”
Agree. Give Hawaii a chance to play whatever losing team they pick as number 2 - provided they beat Washington.
For what its worth....scout.com has Florida playing Illinois in the Citrus Bowl and Georgia playing USC in the Rose Bowl. If that happens it will be the first tiime UGA has played outside of the US South since 1966.
You've got that right.
Was this the first note?
I think you deliberately twist my words, Hillary. McFadden is a great player (I think I said that), but he is used in a gimmicky fashion (I don't see how you can dispute that). Winning at Arkansas has become secondary to fashioning an offense that allows McFadden to pad his stats. Arkansas' coach evidently thinks McFadden's quest for Heisman is more important than pursuing team goals.
130+ posts about which team should be ‘mythical’/BCS National Champ...
I think the BCS has what they want/are selling...
Back in Aug. I put bets down on four teams to win the BCS:
W.V. 9-1
Ohio St. 28-1
Missouri 40-1
Oregon 80-1
I thought Ore. was going to make it, until QB got hurt...
But now it looks like either $450, $1400, or $2000...not a bad season....hahaha
I believe Michigan and Ohio State both got hosed in the bowls last year. I mean, they got their butts kicked so bad that I heard there was talk of canceling football at both schools and replacing it with hopscotch (evidently, the players were already good at the new sport). Therefore, I think the point was that all the talk about how good the Big Ten was last year (Michigan / Ohio State rematch for the national championship) was a bunch of ridiculous hooey and there is no reason (based on Applachian State and Illinois games) to believe this year is any different. Big Ten is a girls league. You need to face up to it.
