WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
My wife had a “Nan.” On the Croatian side of the family, I think.
Perspicacious viewers could spot the perspiratious sheen on the faces of the squirming candidates during last night’s Dem-bate...
i have a Tgiving feast to attend in a few minutes. Xsbrownie’s school always has a potluck feast, they make the turkeys and everyone makes other stuff. i was assigned pie, so i made a homemade cherry pie.
Enjoy. But it’s not “potluck” is they assign you stuff, is it?
I’ve added you to my Wednesday roll call list.
You got it :) ..(the second one)
It’s really a nice town, though. It’s clean, picturesque, and has historical sights and two universities. There’s near full employment and I see no panhandlers on the streets of downtown. I did roust those two homeless guys right outside my office a while ago but they haven’t been back, nor have I spotted them elsewhere.
so humiliating....napkins!...and I make an irrisistible sweet potato casserole!
I told him couple weeks ago, NO!, I will make the casserole...
..he forgot to remind me....life got busy....so napkins it was !
embarrassing!
Sounds quaint and picturesque :)
Thank you, tioga, but the belated B-day wishes. Don’t feel bad—for some reason this year everyone forgot. Guess none of us were perspicacious enough to foresee calendar events—or we were plain busy.
Gotta go. Nice weekend, everyone. (& Happy B-day, Laura Earl!)
-should be called “dish to pass” luncheon........mmm.
-does it matter what the little ones call you as long as it’s said with LOVE? I’ll take whatever I can get...as I said - I am a “grandma-wannabe”....
You have been working much too hard lately, we hardly get to see you in class anymore.......have a great weekend. The last one before the Christmas rush is on.
OK, come on ........if it’s irresistable we need the recipe....cough it up!
I think I would like Gramma. We called our GM Gay because that’s how the first grandkid pronounced Grammy. My evil step goes by Granny, which is another reason it leaves me cold. Some of my friends with grandkids go by Grandma first name, whatever it is, to avoid confusing them.
I’ve heard Meemaw and Mimi in south Texas, Florida snd the Carolinas.
I frequently hear Nana....or less Nonny.......rme where does Nonny come from?
A++
Some perspicacious listener got to hillary and shut off that cackle — otherwise it was a borefest.
Sheesh, that thread is almost 1500 posts. We watched part of it last night, but I get so sick of seeing Hillary’s smug face. She thinks she’s got the nomination all sewn up with the ‘rats. I don’t think so.
She is definitely not perspicacious in her thoughts and actions. Even the liberals know that.
