Very quick indeed, but I’m not seeing any mention of the much-desired ability to use Time Machine with a network/AirPort drive.

Warning, folks: I installed it this afternoon. Time Machine no longer works if you had it going to a disk on another machine on your network. No problem for Time Machine disks attached to your current computer, however.

In fact, my existing ability to run Time Machine with a remote volume on the LAN (NOT an Airdisk) has gone away.

I hope they fixed the awful folder icons, and the file sharing problem, and Time Machine, and the printing problems...

I love Apple OS but this update is the worst one I can remember, and I’ve been around since the Mac Plus.

I haven't had any of those issues; just the one problem with Time Machine no longer connecting to a network-attached backup HD.

The update includes an improvement in the Dock. Those hard-to-see green "Christmas tree lights" on the Dock shelf representing open apps are now easier to see.

The usual 99% boredom and 1% terror during updates/upgrades. So far so good with point-one, and things feel a bit snappier.

I haven't installed Leopard yet, but I'm starting to take a look at the docs for the new memory management system.

I'll probably just stick with Tiger and Panther on the existing systems, and wait until MacWorld Expo on Jan. 15th to see if any new Macs are announced.
