I am a Conservative

As am I. I am also a realest and understand I have to choose between options actual available to me. Not pie in the sky notions. Those are for children (and Dems).

Reality is the GOP is the party of the conservatives. On the majority of the issues we are in constant agreement with the GOP. There are ebbs and flows within what percentage of those majority issues we are in agreement or have the most influence.

But the notion that we (conservatives) should care less about the GOP is nonsense and dangerous. Especially when one understands the disgusting ilk of the DEMs.

Best regards,

Look, we are at war with people who want to kill us, convert or enslave us. Rudy is not perfect... none of the Republican candidates are. But he understands this fact better than any of the other candidates from a personal perspective. Remember when he turned down hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Saudis? That spoke volumes. The truth of 911 is etched upon every fiber of his being and he will prosecute this battle to the uttermost. And he will actively fight against the anti American subversives within the senate and congress that are trying to undermine those efforts. They are going to squeal like little piggies when Rudy goes on national tv and takes them to task. I am so looking forward to that.

I have a great deal of respect for president Bush. Our entire family voted for him twice, but he has let his critics on the left walk all over him and NOT taken a stand against them. Jesus said we were to "turn the other cheek", but that does not mean we are to become a door mat for our enemies to step all over. He should have continually taken a stand on the TRUTH and not let them get away with their lies, distortions and attacks. Instead, he wanted to "play nice" with people who continually stab him and the American people in the back EVERY chance they get.

. Is Rudy everything I want in a candidate? No but he will also NOT put up with Hillery trying to "Lazio" him by hiding behind "No fair, I am a girl!" Come the election campaign/debates, he will beat her like a rented mule. He cleaned up NY, ran that city very well, lowered taxes AND the crime rate and a whole lot of people didn't like him for it because he was tough. But that didn't bother him because he kept his eye on the ball. One more thing, in spite of his faults, Americans like him and have a lot of respect for him. He will garner a lot of independents.

He has stated that he will appoint strict constitutionalists to the SC. I for one take him at his word.

Personally as an evangelical, I like Fred, BUT Fred Thompson doesn't have the fire in his belly, does not seem to "want it" and is not willing to FIGHT for the position as much as Rudy. Sadly, he and his campaign reminds me of Senator Bob Dole... I refuse to let that happen again.

As for Mit, I live in NH and have seen first hand how he governs... no thanks. Besides, I can't vote for a guy who actually believes he is going to become the god of his own world by sexually propagating it with multitudes of spirit children his wife is going to be churning out like the queen from Aliens.

Rudy makes me uncomfortable but I can’t even imagine a word for what Hillary/Obama would make me feel!

Agreed. I am referring more to his ability to beat the Dem in the general. He seems flawed and just about as Liberal on some issues as the Dems are.

I think we can do better...and should.

Especially when one understands the disgusting ilk of the DEMs.

I feel Rudy should be classified with that disgusting ilk....he really is in the wrong party.

You can call whatever you want. I am in flyover country and New York is not nearly as impressive out here to most people as it is to New Yorkers. I do not want New York method of doing business becoming the norm out here in flyover country from either a Clinton or a Rudy. We do not live house on top of house and we don’t want liberalism to be forced upon US like New Yorkers like.

“I am a Conservative...and could care less about the liberal wing of the Republican party. RINO’s are not in MY party.”

Worth repeating.

This may help Rudy...marginaly...maybe.

It WILL damage Pat Robertson, drastically.

Dumb move.

Rudy heading up the Republican ticket sure makes write-ins and 3rd party candidates so much more attractive. This first time conservative voter Will vote for a conservative candidate, which by the way, does not include Rudy.

Pat never struck me as the brightest bulb on the tree. This pretty much confirms his "political hack" status...

If Rudy is the nominee... We'll get President Hillary.

I don’t disagree with you there. But apparently you’d rather support someone who has no problem with torturing (and killing) an innocent unborn child and who believes civil unions for same sex couples is OK. I guess if I had to chose between and abortionist murder who supports guys making out with guys, I would support the guy who believes (fantasizes) that he will become a little god in his own future world. At least he isn’t killing babies.

Pat may be endorsing Rudy, but I will not only not endorse him, I will never vote for him. I think Pat’s endorsement of Rudy is going to turn millions of his supporters away from him and very possibly shut down his ministry.

Maybe Pat is doing all of us a favor here.

Pat = nuts. Nuts supports Giuliani. Now even less people support Giuliani.

Conservatives win. Maybe this is part of Pat’s secret strategy?

Okay maybe not.

He is going to appoint strict constitutionalists to the court, that is good enough for me re: abortion. He does not make the law, the court does.

Robertson has been supporting RG since 2005

So have Sean Hannity and the Weekly Standard. I think these people are betting on the person they perceive as a winner. For like reasons, Paul Weyrich, Bob Jones III, and Glenn Beck have lined up in the Mitt Romney camp. If they were to declare on principle rather than pragmatism, they could support Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, or even Ron Paul, all of whom have stronger conservative records, especially on social conservative issues. If this election cycle goes as past ones do, Hunter and Tancredo will drop out, and maybe McCain as well, following the January primaries if they perform poorly, based on their strained finances. Unless Huckabee and Thompson can pull off early wins, they may be out after Super Tuesday. Ron Paul will go the way of Howard Dean and Pat Buchanan, as his enthusiastic supporters do not translate into mass popularity. Then it will boil down to a Giuliani vs. Romney race.

With a declining dollar, higher energy prices, consumer price increases, and the increasing impact of the Internet vs. the declining influence of the MSM, the 2008 election may differ from what we have seen in the last four Presidential races.

Rudy-haters true to form.

First it was Kit Bond. Bond announces he supports Rudy (strongly pro-life, strongly pro-gun, strongly anti-global warming)...suddenly a RINO.

Norm Coleman (ardently pro-life, NRA-rated A, strong on Iraq), endorses Rudy, now a traitor and a RINO.

Pat Robertson comes out for Rudy, he's "crooked," "crazy," "selling out to Satan," or a RINO (well I haven't seen that one yet but I'm certain it will appear here before long).

If Rush Limbaugh comes out in support of Rudy Giuliani, he will suddenly become a RINO instead of the leading Conservative voice in the nation. If Ronald Reagan were to rise from his grave and endorse Rudy, he would be a "RINO."

I agree, the race is very, very, fluid right now.

As for Hannity, he has been friends with RG for many years, but he will support anyone who gets the nod, and doesn’t appear to be campaigning against any of our guys.

I hadn’t heard about the Weekly Standard endorsing RG? I’m sure like many they are thinking about RG’s attitude an tone towards the Islamic Cultists, and are thinking of our guys on the ground in 2 war theaters.

Again I agree that WAR makes this primary and general election so different.

I’m waiting to see who holds up best to the pressure from the MSM and the other candidates.

And looking for some signs of ruthlessness, spine, and SOBness, LOL!
