Two illegal immigrants were arrested Sunday after one allegedly drove drunk and was involved in an accident that killed a Lake Elsinore man; the other helped him flee.
According to the Riverside County Sheriffs Department, the initial investigation indicates that Isaac Flores-Palacios, 32, was driving his employers pickup truck west on Lakeshore Drive on Sunday afternoon when a pickup driven by Ben Hernandez, 66, turned left in front of him near Avenue 6. Hernandez was ejected and died at the scene.
Florez-Palacios allegedly left his vehicle and was picked up by his brother-in-law, Javier Delfino-Hernandez, 29, who had been following him. Witnesses described the driver involved in the accident as well as the car that picked him up, which was spotted by a helicopter crew. Ground officers stopped the car and obtained information that identified Flores-Palacios, who had subsequently tried to report his truck as stolen, as the driver involved in the accident; he was detained at a Lake Elsinore address and identified by witnesses.
Flores-Palacios, who lives in Lake Elsinore, was arrested for hit-and-run causing death and driving while intoxicated. Delfino-Hernandez, who lives in Homeland, was arrested for being an accessory; he is also on probation for a previous D.U.I. and had a warrant for his arrest in regard to a deportation order.
Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call (951) 245-3300.
No toots, ILLEGAL immigrants. Don’t pull a Rudy on us and conflate the two. If you want to come here, you apply to come. And wait in line just like my relatives had to.
JMO Bea, you have a very warped and paranoid mind.
I took multiple Latin American studies courses over the past few years. The drinking and driving thing isn't unique to the United States, it occurs all over Latin America. I will look up the citations later tonight.
Well then, you like the stalinists love long lines. You must have total control.
And seriously, how long did your relatives have to wait? My Grandmother and Father came through Ellis Island and didn't have to wait years.
But they came as my immigrant grandparents did...LEGALLY.
A trip through Ellis Island was no cake walk.
How convenient, oh BTW, you do know that drinking and driving is also a problem in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia(i.e the whole world).
Oops, I forgot, it's just a Latin American problem to you, nevermind.
And it did not last years.
LOL. So now its stalinist tactics to demand application to enter. I give up.
Uh you were the one who brought up lines, and it was/is the stalinists who love lines, especially food lines.
It still was legal and they sure didnt waltz around demanding rights. As a matter of fact my grandparents taught themselves to read and write English. They never demanded pressing one for English or interpreters. They came, they sacrificed and they learned. They kissed the ground when they arrived. They flew the American flag with great pride. And America ...the USA was then their country, and they were protective of that fact. They followed the laws and made sure their kids did too.
Thats what makes people angry and defensive,Illegals marching and demanding, insisting that Spanish become the language of this land, on doorways, phones, and almost any other place you look now. Illegals taking advantage of the system. I dont care what country they are from....the operative word is ILLEGAL. Try doing the same thing in Mexico...see how far you get.
Huh, did you ever think once that your knee jerk antagonism put them into the bosom of hillary.
BTW, notice how this thread has been put into general/chat.
Knee jerk? Cut me a break.
I wont waste my time anymore.
Take care.
Yes, Dane, you still have the touch of death.
You will find the same snarky remarks from Dane on this subject for the past 6 or more years. It’s all about money and race. No other thoughts need apply. You might as well beat your head on the floor.
Anyone who promotes illegal aliens like this clown should be in the democrat party.
Yeah, just like Ronald Reagan, who signed real amnesty in 1886.
Your alls ignorance of political history is astounding.
And guess what. Reagan regretted doing so. So he, unlike you, can identify a mistake when he sees one.
Thats why I decided not to waste my time.
