Does it have anything to do with the WWI/WWII subterranean UFO base in Antarctica?

I was on an Art Bell-esque listserv deal years ago and there was a German kid that had a bunch of WWII era photos of planes and supposed UFOs and the entrance to the subterranean base and all…

He even had interviews lined up with an old German guy that supposedly routinely visited it. Don’t know how it ended up though… he was supposedly going to set up a website (at the time I didn’t even have a web browser, just got stuff off a mail list).

Anyway, certain German and Russian scientist types (?) claim they’ve not only physically visited the moon but mars too. Claim the atmosphere is “thin” but tolerable to humans if you wear warm clothing, etc.

I sent away for their free information packet that’d tell you how to build an anti-gravity-something-or-other to power your own spacecraft using two air-cooled VW engines. But the request for the free information came back as “no such business at that address.”

Had my heart set on a mars vacation too… Next time, I guess.

Saw it years ago when Discovery still showed “Wings” every afternoon. Liked it ever since, just because of the look, I guess.

Thinking outside the box, back before aircraft design was fully standardized.

I know. I probably won’t be able to own much more than a beat-up old 172, but I can still dream about it.

Maybe you can pick up the parts you need at the Alien Technology Online Catalogue.

I liked the Lerche myself.
In IL2 1946, you can fly it in game. Though the list of flyable aircraftf is missing quite a few impressive aircraft from all sides. *sigh* It does have a Go 229/Ho IX.

Yeah, the Weserflug does look mighty familiar.
Check out the Triebflugel under the Focke Wulf entry.

It’d be interesting if a wealthy airplane fanatic or collector tried to build a full-scale working model using the original plans. Probably cost millions, though.

How 'bout this one ?

Focke-Wulf Fw 1000x1000x1000 Bomber Project B

That looks like a stealth bomber, don't it ? Well ahead of its time.

Only without the fly-by-wire computer systems the B-2 relies on to keep it airborne. Very impressive.
