Hopefully others will see them as a lesson. Don’t focus on exterior goals more than relationships. You’ll lose both the goals and the relationships and be disappointed and, worse, alone.
Run, Nate, Run!
Had to pop in and say, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Me neither. Good final three this time.
Selfishness seems like it pays off when you don’t look deeply. It just leaves you lonely and bitter in the end. I hope Jen can rebound in her life, but for now, Run Nate, Run!
Same here.
See everyone next week. Gonna watch Commanche Moon now :)
I can't wait to see which one wins, and all of them will make me happy.
How’s that birthday working out for you, Jen?
Ah, finally a season where I’m not totally ticked off with the team that wins! Who’s Your Daddy would be my top pick, then Gramps, and finally Dredlocks. But I’m ok with any of them.
Bye bye bickering boneheaded buffoons.
They should have concentrated on what they were doing and not that TK & Rachel caught up. I loved the elimination of Nate & Jen.
As Teams traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, tensions flared as TK & Rachel caught up to other Teams at the airport and kept pace despite their Speed Bump. Ron & Chris sailed to another victory while dating couple Nate & Jen continued fighting and became the last team eliminated, just short of the final three.
After TK & Rachel stepped onto the mat in second place having overcome a three-hour deficit and Speed Bump from the prior leg, Nick & Don finally found their taxi moments ahead of Nate & Jen. With traffic in the bustling city, both Teams crossed their fingers that their drivers knew the fastest way to the Memorial Hall Plaza. In the end, grandson and grandfather Nick & Don arrived in third place to secure the last spot in the finals. Don, at 68 years old, became the oldest person ever in the final three.Stepping onto the mat in last place, dating couple Nate & Jen received the bad news that they had been eliminated from the race. Just off the mat, the tearful couple assessed the state of their relationship. Jen said, "I think that we killed our relationship on the way. We weren't strong enough to heal and finish the race. We just frickin' killed ourselves during it, Nate. We didn't even focus on our relationship. All we cared about was the race." A crying Nate agreed with this as the two shared a long embrace alone in the square.
LOL
Run, Nate, Run!
Run, Nate, Run!
LOL--FAR AWAY!
Wow, I guess I hadn’t realized that Don was 68. He’s in great physical and mental shape for someone almost 70. Impressive.
Nate and Jen were annoying. Good to see ‘the old guys’ do so well this season!
PHIL! How could you do this to Jen on her birthdaaaaaay!!!
She spent the entire race kvetching at how the other teams were lucky and laid back when she was trying so haaaaaaard! Yes, there was the floating gardens opening time bunching, but it looks like the airport was going to be the great leveler. So what? They still beat you in Taipei to the roadblock, did a speed bump and beat you to the detour (I think it was pretty smart of them to drink their tea outside so that they could immediately ask people where the next route marker was.
Jen, my dear - it was your insistence on taking the subway, then a bus to get to the detour. You were screaming about traffic at the bus stop - so tell me - you wait for a bus which would be in the SAME traffic as a cab you could have grabbed right away.
And what’s even better than you getting booted from the race on your birthday? The fact that you never, never, NEVER finished FIRST!
Not only that - but I like all three teams in the final three and would be happy to see any of them win. They all ran good races, some a little more handicapped than others (Ron and Don’s physical limitations), but all of them are teams we like.
I was terrified we were being set up with a Nate and Jen win since they kept emphasizing their desire to be first - I just envisioned the finish line with “Yay! We’re finally first! When it counted!”
I’d like it to be Nick and Don for the win but the previews don’t look good. Looks like that old demon killer fatigue is starting to set in.
Didn’t have to clean up anything. They got eliminated. Thank God! Should be an interesting finale next Sunday.
