That’s pretty clever. You able to print it out that way, right?
Cardy! tsk, tsk, tsk... Not enough Tapas during the cocktail hour, I gather.
I think so... I’ve had a couple of phone interuptions so I’m still working on it but I’ll come back for help if it doesn’t work :)
I was hardly architecture but corruption, how much was paid to get the permission to build in view of the fact that for years all applications to build had been denied because of the area´s protected status?
Anyway it became a big scandal against the Conservative government which lost the next election.
That High-rise does seem out of place with the general height requirements, maybe something crooked had to do with that also.
I was born in the city of Hull, in Yorkshire, which is the biggest county in England. Many of you will remember the BBC production of "All things bright and Beautiful," and "All creatures great and small," written by James Herriot a Yorkshire vet.
It must be terribly difficult to uphold preservation laws with populations and commerce escalating like that. It has a lot going against it.
Same thing that happens to every team whose star QB is hurt. Plus the addition of their star running back being hurt just made it impossible.
USC
Oregon
Oklahoma
Same thing happened to them with their QB and they all lost.
Imagine where they'd be if their star running back was hurt as well. Any other program would be in the same place.
I am sorry for coach Carr. He coached with honesty, ran a clean program that won with integrity. Very few college programs can say the same. He deserved better as an end to his career, but he's got character and will look back with pride on what he did.
#1......... as long as you keep switching loyalty every year at the end.
Congrats to the man with Arkansas genes.........and Floriduh bluehairs for pinups.......
There is also the point that over development in these areas could kill the tourist trade - most Mediterranean cruise ships call into Malta to visit Valletta and Mdina.
As you can see by this comparison to Sicily, Malta with little Gozo is not very big and has roughly a population of 400,000.
You have an amazing memory for name of places - I wish I could say the same. I seem to remember that the Welsh pubs closed on Sundays so they Welsh had to drive to England indulge on the Sabbath. That may have changed by now.
I do know they used to register the pubs as clubs so that they could serve drinks to their members. I think you had to sign up to be a member 24 hours before you could be accepted. But of course you could backdate your application. There are always ways to bypass the laws.
When it’s something that captivates, I remember its name.
We hit pubs all the time and don’t remember them closed for a whole day
Remember I was there during the dark ages. In 65 years many things change.
Tell me about it. You know you’ve been around awhile when you start giving driving directions like, “take a left where Smith’s used to be.” There are more “used to be’s” every year.
Having ridden my motorcycle on beaches, having loved unspoiled places long ago that are now covered with high rises, I believe it’s best to revisit those places in my memories. Anyway, there are always new places to go.
Congrats accepted. It’s good to be #1.
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as “Euro-English”.
In the first year, “s” will replace the soft “c”. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be dropped in favour of “k”. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome “ph” will be replaced with “f”. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent “e” in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing “th” with “z” and “w” with “v”.
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary “o” kan be dropd from vords kontaining “ou” and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl.
