My one visit to Berkeley was to attend an early 1970's pre-season pro football game between my beloved Falcons and the Oakland Raiders. Looking for a place to park, I spotted a lot directly across from the stadium. The lot was completely empty of cars. As I entered the lot, I found out why no one parked there. A completely nude "man" was doing some kind of drug enhanced dance with himself in the middle of the lot. I exited the place and then took a nearby policeman's advice:
Park on the street right beside the stadium in the "No Parking" zone. He said the city would ticket me, there would be a $5 fine that I could pay by mail, and that the cost would be less than any nearby parking--if I could find any not featuring drugged up naked hippie guys. I have never had a better or cheaper parking place at any major sports event.
I am so appreciative of knowing that a geezer such as your self continues to seek out the blue hairs, but tut, tut......in the freezer?

Without you and the few delusional others way up there in Frozenia who persistently deny the climatic facts and ignore the abandoned houses and outbound traffic of those who are rapidly fleeing your rusting state, we here in the South would be overrun with even more snowbirds and retirees than now flock to our warm beaches.

cg - so nice to get the update on all your felines!! I remember Taco, Ebonie and Mr. Peepers. You are obviously doing a fine job. I haven’t lost any since Amigo. In fact, we took in one more orange Alley cat named Julius. He has turned out to be an absolute gem. Daisy still has Asthma but with the medications we keep it pretty much under control. Buttons and Candi and fine!!
We named our orange guy Julius as in Orange Julius!! LOL. CO
Like I told ya, the snow just doesn’t want to stop here. We have had a LOT!! However, it is not as cold as usual. Looks like Libby has about the same temperature as we do.
I know!! It’s looks quite bleak at the moment. I sometimes wonder if ANY of these Fed Chairman know what the heck they are doing. No matter what they say, I don’t think that folks are getting told the “true” picture of the economy in any event. A lot of stocks (my nephew tells me) were backed by (his words - mortgage paper) and we know where the mortgage market is don’t we? In the tank. Me thinks there is a lot of panic and manipulating going on behind the scenes.
It's sooooooo cold and snowy there, life must be just awwwwfulllll and desgusting and not worth living......OOOOOOHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....
