I am glad you like the photos LJ, the Huskies or Malamutes were really startling.

I used to have a Malamute - wonderful dogs.

I have to admit, this is the one coach I thought we could never get. He’s not just a good coach, he’s a great one, perhaps the best in the collegiate ranks. As a bonus for you, he turned down the Alabama job last year before they offered it to Nick Saban: http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071217/COL22/712170373&imw=Y

Thats great. Congratulations. I'm happy for everyone at the Big House :) AND, I'm happy for LSU fans, athletic staff and Les Miles. Maybe now both schools can get ready to play in their upcoming respective big games, moreover, both can stop denying rumors everyday about how Miles is really going to Michigan.

Glad you're happy with the new coach

Good luck with the new coach. I’m getting tired of having to console you when Michigan loses. :>)

Don’t know if I’ve ever met a Malamute. I’ve met a variety of huskeys.

I’m trying to figure out how to capture some of those pps photos.

"As a bonus for you, he turned down the Alabama job last year before they offered it to Nick Saban"

FTR, we're all done with that Nick done us wrong thang down here. FOFLOL If he doesn't win more than he loses next year they may be done with him PDQ in Alabama, too. LOL Of course, it would suit him right if he went from St Nick to Ole Nick (Satan) all throughout the SEC.

I used to work for a man who owned a beautiful Malamute named Juneau. He’d bring the dog to the office once or twice a week. It was a great dog, sort of regal and very smart. Then he and his wife divorced and she got the dog. LOL He hated losing the dog about as much as he hated losing the wife.

"What did you put in his drink?"

Why, Cardy! I am deeply offended that you would think I need to chemically modify a man's mood in order to win his heart.

Dawn, who is the family wine expert, says cabernet or valpolicello or, given my particular tastes, she recommended Black Opal - blend of cabernet and merlot.

Oh, we ARE having a wonderful time! It is such a nice change. Today, I was over in my old digs and visiting wth some former coworkers that I hadn’t seen in a few months. They all pretty much said the same thing...who is he? LOL! I must be pretty transparent.

"Wine is for pooftahs that like to shop..."

Do I detect a silent "harumph?"

Well, say what y'all want to; I'm delighted with spending time with a man who enjoys shopping with me. Now if only he enjoyed dancing, he'd be darn near perfect. *Sigh* I guess you can't have everything.

Good choices. All are full-bodied enough to stand up to the garlic and other strong flavors in many southern Italian dishes.

I’m thinking of maybe going for the wine on Friday night and saving the spiked hot chocolate for maybe Christmas Eve. The more I think about it, the more I think it will be too heavy with the pizza....especially seein’s how I also made a huge batch of chocolate chip/pecan and white chocolate/macadamia cookies that will be around for dessert.

The biggest loser in that divorce was probably the dog.

Is that not hilarious? Her campaign says she has a 50% approval rate... they just didn’t say if that was among registered voters, fellow warthogs or whatever. At any rate, a 50% approval also means that 50% can’t the sight of her.

Good idea, save the hot chocolate for another time. :)

Spiked hot chocolate?

"Spiked hot chocolate?"

YES! Got the idea from a restaurant here that serves several "spirited" coffee and cocoa drinks. They serve one called "Seattle Fire and Ice" that's made with white chocolate, chai liqueur, steamed milk and cinnamon. He LOVES it and we have it at the restaurant whenever we're downtown. I decided to try and duplicate it...as well as trying to do it with dark chocolate, which is his favorite..and mine. I had to order the chai liqueur. Got the dark choclate. Now I just need to get some white chocolate.
