Why just the desert?

Desert=Perfect home for snakes, particularly AZ rattlers.

I did mention habitats of certain water critters like reefs.......

Tsk, tsk......

Geographical and meteorlogical ignorance could only be so great coming from one who thinks hot, flat and ugly places that get ravaged regularly by hurricanes should be lived in........

Actually, I meant why just the desert? We’ve got rattlers in the hills of Mass. and the only desert in New England is in Maine.

"..... places that get ravaged regularly by hurricanes should be lived in........"

BTW, Hurricane season has just ended and for the 2nd straight year we have not had even the threat of a hurricane in this area. All the Hurricane predictors are scratching their heads and AlGore is blaming global warming "climate change". As for me, I'm thanking the Good Lord for His Mercy.

The last time I stopped in Barnes and Nobles I saw a Greg Iles display, meant to check it out but got absorbed in sumpin else and forgot. LOL I’m not familiar with the Vince Flynn books but I like that genre. Thanks for the tips, I’ll give them a try.

Note that a certain intelligent poster said regularly, not annually............

And just to correct the record, every hurricane is a threat.

Uh, right... I live in hurricane country. In fact, since the 2005 season, Louisianians refer to every event as before the storm or after the storm. :)

Not much time for shopping. Been working my butt off. Gonna play this weekend though. Got the BB to cover on call for me.

There are aquatic snakelys.
Though they wouldn’t be able to sing “Death Buzz”.

You must be referring to the gazillions of Michiganders who have forsaken the dismal frozen wasteland you call home for the sunny southland where today they bask in warm sunshine, a meteorlogical event with which you are most likely unfamiliar.

Yes but the presstitutes have found gloom even in that good news by saying that since the predictions were in error, we are doomed because the lack of hurricanes will make us complacent and unwilling to evacuate threatened areas, thus condemning us to certain death. Therefore, Darlin', you should be praying for hurricanes to strike frequently in order that we not become so accustomed to calm weather that we refuse to flee the next big one.

FOFLOL. IOW, Hurricanes for Dummies, courtesy of the press. If everyone listened to the pressitutes, they’d think New Orleans consisted entirely of the 9th Ward. Ergo, its doomed. Doomed because of Republican tax cuts, doomed because the democrat voters of the old 9th Ward have for the most part not returned, ergo, the state is leaning Republican. And, and, well, shoot, its the fault of George Bush.
