I don't know if SSgt Jon posts here yet or not, I told him about this Pro-Troop, Pro-America site I hang out on called 'Freerepublic' so if you see this Jon, I hope you don't mind me sharing the correspondence..I just thought what you wrote should be seen by everyone:

I have to tell you that one of the biggest things for us is to be supported, we don't care if you support the war, or weather you support the president, just support us. I say thank you for this support, so often we are overlooked, or unapriciated. I really can't explain how much it means just to say thanks, or just to talk to us. I have missed the last four Halloweens, Thanksgivings, Christmas's, New Years, and Valentines day's. Some of those I can deal without, but I've also missed the last four of my wifes and my oldest son's birthdays. Honestly the biggest thing that we need or want is just to talk to people, I think it helps us stay connected. Anyhow, I'll quit rambling now, again I thank you for your support and keep it up, as small as it may seem, It really means a lot. SSgt Jon *****

Thank YOU SSgt Jon...and ALL THE TROOPS!!!!! God Bless!!!!

Thank you for posting that, FlashBack!

SSgt Jon, please know that you are NOT forgotten, nor are you unappreciated. The enemedia wants you to believe that you are, but there are many, many people who absolutely appreciate you.

We visited our friends church last Sunday morning. In their church service, they had a time of praying aloud. One prayer lifted was a prayer for those in the military serving far away from their family and friends. It happens every day, in places all over this country. Someone remembers and prays for you. Or thinks about how difficult a job you're doing and how proud we are to be Americans because of people like you. Keep fighting the good fight.

We got your six.
