Patriots at Colts has a powerful, compelling narrative. Namely -- Good vs. Evil.
Argument for the Indianapolis Colts as paladins who carry the banner of that which is beneficent: Sportsmanship, honesty, modesty, devotion to community, embrace of traditional small-town life, belief in higher power, even love of laughter.
Argument for the New England Patriots as scoundrels in the service of that which is baleful: Dishonesty, cheating, arrogance, hubris, endless complaining even in success. The Patriots have three Super Bowl rings, but that jewelry is tarnished by their cheating scandal. They run up the score to humiliate opponents -- more on that below -- thus mocking sportsmanship. Their coach snaps and snarls in public, seeming to feel contempt for the American public that has brought him wealth and celebrity.
The team's star, Tom Brady, is a smirking sybarite who dates actresses and supermodels but whose public charity appearances are infrequent. That constant smirk on Brady's face reminds one of Dick Cheney; people who smirk are fairly broadcasting the message, "I'm hiding something."

They only were doing what every other team was doing that is why no other coaches but whiny boy Mangini has complained.
I think calling a TO as they snap the ball for a FG is worse than filming.
You have mail
I never stated that the Pats would win by 21 or 22 points.
That’s hardly sexual harassment. A stupid college prank, at best.
Problem with that plan is that Stallworth is a great catch and run guy (ask the Cowboys and Fins) and the Pats can use Faulk and Watson. Lastly, you can double Moss and he will still catch balls. Pats RBs are out or injured so that’s one weakness for them. Colts have injuries of their own on D so that’s not going to work in their favor.
This could be a game with an over/under of 75.
Your problem here is the Pats defense is better than that. Wilfolk, Junior and Bruschi rule the middle as the Cowboys,a running team, found out.
I don’t care who you are you can’t cover Welker across the middle the whole game and then you still have Watson who is better than nmst TE’s in the league namely Witten and Clark.
Miami doubled Moss and he still caught to 40 yard passes in the end zone.
Problem 2, colts don’t have but one good CB anyway.
This beyotch got called to account by the ESPN ombusdman for his crappy journalistic standards two weeks ago. The filming violation is seriously old news. With the way that the Pat’s have blasted every defense they have played this year it hardly seems like they got that much benefit from it.
If you give a QB 5 seconds to throw the ball even 7 DBs cannot cover everyone long enough not to leave someone open. The key to beating the Pats is pass rush and jumping the routes. If you cannot force Brady (or any QB really) to throw the ball before he’s ready then you are going to give up plays.
I agree.
Actually, Dallas had some good runs against the Pats and I would expect that Indy can as well with Seymour out.
WTF? Somebody actually pays this Assclown to write this stuff?
The runs in the Dallas game came after it was 14-0 in the 1st and during their one good drive to score in the 3rd and the Pats were only playing 3 on the line and 3 LB dropping Vrabel back into coverage, but yes they may get a few good runs but no overall ground game.
What a whiner. And a sissy, no doubt. :)
When the first team is in and passing, rather than running out the clock, most people would call that "running up the score".
Last season Glenn was a 1000+ receiver until he was injured.
Maybe that's `cause the Cowboys aren't playing good!
How about you give me the Redskins and 21 this Sunday?
At what point in a game should the "first team" be taken out?
You can't be series. The Cowboys, a running team? The Cowboys ran well against the Pats in limited attempts. They just got so far behind that they had to play catch up. But they are clearly a pass first offense.
Watson who is better than nmst TEs in the league namely Witten and Clark.
Again, you cannot be series. Watson is not even in the same league as Witten. And no one fears him.
Miami doubled Moss and he still caught to 40 yard passes in the end zone.
Yeah I saw what Miami was running out there to dbl team Mss. It was pathetic, and Moss pushed off on the second TD in the end zone. Should have been called. The Cowboys have a 6-5" safety that they can use on a dbl team with all available parts.
But even so, I'm not saying that the Cowboys can beat the Pats right now, I'm asserting that the Colts can and will soon.
So when Manning is still in the game in the 4th ahead by 2 td’s with 4 minutes left is that running up the score too?
It seems people like to bash the Pats when they do what every other team does or tries to do. I guess when you are the current best everyone want to take a shot.
