I thought it was a great game. I was thrilled that the Patriots won, but found that I liked the Cowboys more than I would have guessed. Romo has a rosy future as a quarterback, and Marion Barber is an exciting RB, although I wonder about his punching “straight arm” technique.
Well see what happens then.
Nothing wrong with a 5-1 start. It would be a colossal failure if the Cowboys did not make it deep into the playoffs.
Well, the only ccontender that could possibly threaten New England are
1) San Diego
2) Indy
3) Pittsburgh
4) Baltimore
All which NE will play this year.
Someone will take him out at the knees if he continues using
that punching straight arm.
Right not the Patriots are a full ‘level’ above every other team in the NFL. No way to dispute it using stats.
I’d say they are in the middle of another winning streak that is quite likely going to demolish the 72 Dolphin’s over hyped record.
Time will tell....injuries could screw em up as we know. but for the time being they are clearly the best team in the NFL.

Is it legal? There were no penalties called, at least not that I noticed.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady, last week, was fined 5 thousand dollars because one of four snaps on his chin strap was NOT snapped. The commissioner personally contacted him during the game to inform him of the fine...Go figure.LOL

I heard about that. Unbelievable!
The guy with the ball can do pretty much anything he wants, it’s all considered self defense. Smacking people in the head, even hitting the face mask, just so long as it stops with the whistle.
I dunno.... That's the sort of thing that could become a fad because some dumbass kids decide it looks cool and end up getting hurt because of it. Perhaps it's not the first time Brady's been fined for it. Anyway, probably best to nip it in the bud.
It would be foolish to chase an undefeated season at the risk of wearing out players for the playoffs....Belichick’s goal is to win the SB.
Then you have to take him down low, at the knees...also legal.

You may be right, but it seems awfully petty to me, particularly when I see some of the stuff that happens on the field, and that is completely ignored.
I think the Giants are going to have something to say about that.
Or over power the stiff arm. Going low has certain problems, the biggest too being that it’s slow and it’s a one shot deal, staying vertical means less torso movement and second chances.
Well there’s two sides to the end of the season if your playoff position is locked. Sure there’s the fatigue factor if you play your starters, but there’s the rust factor if you don’t. Look at the Eagles SB run, they rested starters a lot and sure they they won their playoff games but they played pretty crappy football, especially in the divisional game, and better opponents would have taken them out. They always say winning is a habit, and part of that is true, especially in football with it’s fairly rigid weekly schedule. Rest your starters too much and you get them out of their winning habits. IMHO starters need to play at least the first quarter of every game, just to keep those winning habits.
I don’t know if you saw Jim Brown...He would throw a “chop straight arm” with fingers extended to the defenders throat...very effective.
They might, but for right now the evidence on Dallas vs NYG is that the Giants got killed once already. Sure the Giants turned it around in the 3rd game and are playing much better football, but there are still serious weaknesses in the team, Eli is still at best a pretty darn good QB and Burress disapears when the going gets tough (as a Steeler fan I was so happy when the Giants took him off our hands, zero work ethic). We’ll see in week 10, but I don’t really expect the Giants to keep it together the entire rest of the season, their success is just too fragile.
I think “officially” he was aiming for the high sternum, but it sure did work.
