Checked the Dallas papers and blogs....upset with Pats for final touchdown and some players eating popcorn when leaving field after game. I think they should be upset with the Cowboys defensive effort.

It is okay to lose, they deserved it, the Cowboys did not play great and that is what you must do when you play New England. I was surprised they did as well considering their performance (very offensive offense) the week before.

Right. The Clownboys could have stopped the Pats from scoring. They did not pass. They just kept running the ball. Its the Clownboys job to stop them.

I think the eating of popcorn right after the game is AWESOME. T.O. started that crap and the Pats made me smile big time eating popcorn after the game.

They were eating popcorn? That’s funny. The Cowboys and their fans always have a lot of swagger, which is fine but they need to learn that swagger has a price when they lose, the world loves to rub the swaggering guy’s face in it. The good news for the Cowboys is there really isn’t another NFC team that half as good, the bad news for the Cowboys is that’s not a compliment.

Hey, I’m glad New England has such a great team. It’s gotta suck to have the K brothers, Kennedy and Kerry, representing a good chunk of you in the Senate.

My team didn’t do too badly for the first half and first minutes of the 3rd quarter, but were overwhelmed by a much, much better team. (I find the popcorn eating incident pretty hilarious, myself.)

I'll never forget them strutting into Reliant Stadium on September 8, 2002, the Houston Texans' NFL debut game. Those Cowboy fans were cocky and arrogant, walking around the stadium before the game thumping their chests.

We thought it rather silly that they were getting so worked up at the prospect of beating an expansion team playing its very first ever game.

Then....when the unthinkable happened and the Texans beat the Cowboys 19-10...well, we were just ecstatic.

We could have been gracious, but life is short. We made those Cowboy fans wish the earth would open up and swallow them in the "human traffic jam" on the stadium ramps as we all left at the end of the game.

Ahhhh....SWEET memory! :-D

FReepmail scott says to be added to, or to be taken off the NFL Ping list...

This is a fairly high volume ping list

It was tough to cheer against the Pats when they played *that* well.

The Cowboys played above their level until the 4th Q, and then you could see that they were winded while the Pats were not.

And Brady just kept leading perfect drives, play after play.

The better team won, much to my chagrin.

Had the officials not called holding (which they manage to overlook on other plays) on that fourth down play, things could have been different.

It’s a shame that New England fan killed himself thirty years ago when they lost to Raiders in AFC champion game. He would have enjoyed the success of the Patriots.

Did you wonder how many times the NFL Commissioner may have called the Network Producer to show a replay of what turned out to be a dropped end zone pass?

"I want to see a replay of that TD"...*click

"You got any cameras closer than mid-field?"...*click

"Look guy, I know you have a camera in that end zone, show it"...*click.

Perhaps...Pats won by 21 not 3 so I would call it a solid defeat.
Dallas really did themselves in with all the penalties. They had a good chance until midway thru the 3rd quarter when they were then outscored 27-3...that is not even close. They started slow and finished flat.Dallas showed that they could hang with New England for awhile but eventually were outplayed and outscored handily.

I think that final TD showed how classless Bill Belichick is.

Oh please...the Patriots could have had Brady throw a SIXTH TD pass if they were trying to rub it in. Instead they gave the ball to the FOURTH STRING running back 3 times and the Cowgirls could not stop him...they were actually trying to let the game end but Dallas could not even stop the guy.

Maybe if Dallas hadn’t burned their last time out a few plays earlier, they decided not to admit defeat and let the Pats kneel out to end the game, so BB put more points on the board. Of course the guy they gave the ball to had 10 career carries before that series so it’s not like they went with high percentage plays. Dallas stopped the clock hoping to get one more stop, they didn’t get the stop, too bad so sad.
