When posting to FR are you getting temporarily unavailable messages when trying to post replies?
Is your computer very slow like a snail on FR even though you have DSL?
I was going to ping Jim Robinson about this problem, but then I noticed you already pinged Jim about this problem.
Which is good.
Now I don’t have to tell Jim about this problem/software design feature. 8<)
Well, we’ve been having some intermittent problems with one of our database servers. It crashed about three or four weeks ago and we’ve been having trouble ever since. John replaced the disk drive but we’re still having problems keeping it online. When it’s offline, we have to limp along on one db server and it’s easily overloaded. That’s why we get occasional slowdowns and the temporarily unavailable messages. We hope to get the problem solved soon. May have to replace the whole shebang.

But He never guaranteed that we would catch up with happiness.
I think I lose links when the ethernet finds it a problem to properly synch with the cable modem signal.
I'm getting it on more than FR.
It started on our computer last week, and we’re on cable.
Jim, how ‘bout posting a link at the top of the forum homepage about this.
Lots of FReepers think this is a problem with their computer or their connection (ISP) to the Internet.
I, too, thought it was my computer when the problem started a couple weeks ago.
The number of "temporary unavailable" pages popping up is increasing and getting almost unbearable for me.
I actually tried to send this message to you THREE times before it posted.
The slow speed is causing me to go to bed earlier at night.....and we can't have that, can we.....LOL.

Speaking of that alternative place...what happened to Yahoo Chatrooms? Are they gone, or did I just forget how to access them?
Yes, I have.
