I heard his agent is suggesting 300 million dollars worth of contract for this guy that can’t perform under playoff pressure.

Wow. I’m old enough to remember when Pete Rose became the first 100,000 dollar SINGLES HITTER in MLB.

And MLB wonders why its no longer ‘America’s Game’?

Sheesh, talk about a complete and utter disconnect with reality.

Well, Boras has a track record of asking for the moon and the stars---and getting it, too. He bamboozled the Sox into giving Nancy Drew a $70+ million contract. I don't know how he does it.

Is anyone by Steinbrenner willing to pay $300,000,000 for a self-centered prima donna?

Yeah, the guy is a very good ballplayer. So is Barry Bonds. Neither is a team player.

A Rod is my favorite post season .230 hitter! He is very consistent that way.

Pete Rozelle and Wellington Mara were smart to make the NFL an OPEC-style cartel back in the 1940s.

There are two good things that Selig did for MLB: Divisional playoffs and the luxury tax. Since the tax was instituted three years ago, the Steinbrenner's of the world are limited as to how they can spend their money.

Besides, spending millions and millions did nothing for the Yankees in the 1980s and since 1999, their very expensive team has been 4-12 in the playoffs.
