My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Nope, I’m sure that was the name I read on the police report about that huge party, wild drinking, wild dancing and the odd costumes. I just wanna know how you got the Miss Marple’s School for Wayward Waifs and Babes involved to that degree anyway????????

Good morning everyone.
Teddy Bears Picnic Lyrics by Jerry Garcia
If you go down to the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the woods today
You better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic
Every teddy bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees, where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
'Cause that's the way the teddy bears have their picnic
Picnic time for teddy bears
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday
See them gaily gad about
They love, to play and shout, they never have any cares
At six o'clock their mommies and daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears
If you go down in the woods today
You better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there together because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

Holy Hanna, she’s Pickling Pumpkins in my good hooch! I swear, doesn’t she appreciate a good single-malt for its flavor, its color, its ambiance, no she wants it to ‘can’ her produce! I swear its enough to make an Irishman cry!!!

I have my eye on you!
To: Soaring Feather
Whoa, I had THAT dream last night, and realized it was just something left over from those pickled squashes you made!
I am ALWAYS under some woman’s eye, I’ve gotten used to it after all these years. I’m that man every mother warns her daughter about (and thankfully they don’t believe her!)

A double pomegranite blossom. I was on my desktop clicking links I don’t have on my laptop and saw this under “blooming now” under The Huntington Gardens. The Huntington Library and Garden is in Pasedena,CA ...
IIRC. The color fits the season!
I loved your monarch poem..

My goodness this is beautiful!! Thank You.

double pomegranite blossom?
What does a single pomegranite blossom look like????
Glad you liked it, the butterfly always seems the first and the last harbinger of the warm season to me.

~Johnn's Monarch Poem~
A brilliant monarch butterfly seeking the lazy sun
passed me in the brightness of day with a jaunted air
as if to it, would never know a single whit or care
and it made me smile, and then laugh in honest fun
I remember the days that touched me deepest with life
and I remember then and now how I reached beyond myself
and found there as if idle upon a long forgotten shelf
a different heart, a soul less worn, a joy without strife

Love those gals! they showed up all summer to ride the old steamboat, and they were a constant source of fun. They really have a good time, and they made it fun when they showed up to ride. Sort of ‘grandmothers out on a hoot’, and funny! Some of the best jokes I’d heard all summer were from these gals, and they came to have a good time and did. Best attitudes I saw all summer was from these Ladies of the Purple and Red!
