My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I thought so, I think I once attended a Potlatch up in Hardin Montana as a kid on the Reservation.

- Sausage links or patties
- Eggs any style
- Hashbrown potatoes
- English muffin or Bagel
- Assorted fresh fruit

Pumpkins are on parade again Yep, its that time of year Carving faces of every kind Some smiling and some that scare
Autumn creates a package For folks of every age Beautiful brilliant flowers Leaves colored at every stage
Just take a whiff of the air now An earthy wonderful smell The chill keeps us bundled up Its autumn again cant you tell?
Enjoy this brilliant season Itll last for just awhile Its natures creative time of year I just love its grand unique style!

Good morning, Meg! It’s a misty morning and the photo’s softness called to me. It’s a pumpkin kind of day.

LOL, this graphic is fantastic, many mornings I feel just as the picture looks.

Lovely graphic and poem.
We are having a rainy weekend, normal for this time of year.
To: All
When gentians roll their fingers tight
To save them for the morning,
And chestnuts fall from satin burrs
Without a sound of warning;
When on the ground red apples lie
In piles like jewels shining,
And redder still on old stone walls
Are leaves of woodbine twining;
When all the lovely wayside things
Their white-winged seeds are sowing,
And in the fields still green and fair,
Late aftermaths are growing;
When springs run low, and on the brooks,
In idle golden freighting,
Bright leaves sink noiseless in the hush
Of woods, for winter waiting;
When comrades seek sweet country haunts,
By twos and twos together,
And count like misers, hour by hour,
October’s bright blue weather.

I am finally going to sleep by midnight and waking up by 8..I am not a “morning person” when I first wake up..no matter what time of day! I need a LOT of coffee!
We are having cool sunny days here lately ..unseasonably cool.

I guess we should not fret about the hours we sleep
we get what we need-when we need it
Although walking the floor at four in the morning
is somewhat a drag, I need not report to a job
at eight a.m., and I can take a nap in the afternoon
which will of course, screw up the sleep pattern again.
LOL

Another dark day, at least it is showering every once in a while instead of just being dark & cloudy like yesterday.
A neighbor up the street must have had some important plans for the weekend because I hear occasional hammering between raindrops.

I know the year is dying,
Soon the summer will be dead.
I can trace it in the flying
Of the black crows overhead;
I can hear it in the rustle
Of the dead leaves as I pass,
And the south wind’s plaintive sighing
Through the dry and withered grass.
Ah, ‘tis then I love to wander,
Wander idly and alone,
Listening to the solemn music
Of sweet nature’s undertone;
Wrapt in thoughts I cannot utter,
Dreams my tongue cannot express,
Dreams that match the autumn’s sadness
In their longing tenderness.

You are fortunate that you can change back so easily. For me it’s difficult. I think I was meant to be a night owl.
No matter how well I sleep, I need a lot of coffee in the morning like you do, taking ages to wake up sometimes.
Especially on a dark day like this. My cats don’t want to get up, they don’t want me to get up, so I don’t get up till late (the cats have their purring ways).

Yesterday, was not bad at all, the rain did not start until late afternoon. I was out and about for a bit doing an errand.
It was lovely walking in the dried leaves, I stopped to pick up a few fallen Sugar Maple leaves, their color is so brilliant.
‘Tis a good day to watch some old Viking movies, or some such thing.
Just as one cannot rake leaves while the wind is blowing, one cannot rake them when they are sopping wet. And who would want to?

I like being up during the wee hours if it is my choice..If I am walking the floor it is because of painful foot or leg cramps..and that is not fun!
I ,like you, can sleep anytime..but I do like to try to get on normal sleep patterns..They never last..LOL No discipline about bedtime at all!

Yes, that is usually the case for me as well. Dang those leg and feet cramps, they bring one up like a shot from a gun.
