the Cowboys must have been looking past Buffalo. In their weekly fan magazine, they never mentioned them. They had the post-game wrap-up for the Rams game. Then they had a review of their next opponent, the New England Patriots. In between the two were the Billlls. I thought that was funny. The Billlls must be so bad, they don’t even get talked about in the Dallas Cowboys Star.

Anyway, Dallas hung in there long enough to get a game winning fg by our rookie. What a game. What a win. What a relief to have won it. And what a severe letdown Buffalo must be feeling today. To have a win evaporate in the las two seconds of the game. Dallas never lead until the time it mattered. Dallas got their bad game out of their system, I hope. The New England game should be better for it.

“...5-1 won’t bother me as much as 4-2 would have...”

Perish that thought. 6-0 is MUCH better than either of those two possibilities.

It’s THE NFL!!!!!! It’s not intramural brotha!!! ;)

Dallas got waxed by Philly on Monday night football in Oct of 1992. I saw the game at Damons, although I didn’t remember anything about the second half (Jagermeister).

Dallas will be okay once Romo can lead the receiver not having the receiver wait for the ball.

If TO can stop dropping passes that would help too.

Romo needs to put the ball ahead of TO, not behind him!!

Clearly, the most impressive wins of the week were by Indianapolis and Pittsburgh — both undermanned by having key players out with injury, they steamrolled over their opponents, especially in the second half. In both cases, the “system” played by the teams still worked to design, even without the normal starters executing it.

Of the two, I’d have to give the edge to the Steelers for the better performance, if only because they held a supposed “elite” NFC offense to nada.

TO needs to hang on to the ball--he showed why he's a very good #2 receiver last night and not a go-to guy. Dallas misses Terry Glenn something fierce, but I'll be shocked if she makes it back late in the season as many hope. BTW, TO actually blamed Romo for under throwing him on the 2 pt conversion attempt in interview post game. BS. That was one of the few decent throws he made all night.

A receiver making as much as TO does needs to make that catch.

Romo just had a bad game. It happens to all qbs. Peyton will have his, Brady will have his. Hopefully, Brady has his Sunday. romo had a bad night but the rest of the team dug him out of the grave. And the Cowboys are better for it. Let’s see how they react to this win when they play the Pats. If their history is any indicator, Dallas will be just fine. It may take them a little while to get going but once they do, look out.

BTW, I have that 1992 Philly game on tape somewhere. I hate losing to Philly. I’d rather drink battery acid.

“...BS. That was one of the few decent throws he made all night....”

And there was no penalty called for facegaurding TO. The defender was playing TO, not the ball. He was interfering with TO the moment the ball was in the air. I guess anything to screw with Dallas is overlooked unless its way too obvious, like Romo having his helmet wrenched off his head. Surprisingly, Romo’s head was still attached to his body.

There is no faceguarding penalty anymore. The defender did interfere with via contact but you’re not gonna get that call on the road in a situation such as that.

From Ask Jery Markbreit(remember him?)Many years ago, there was a penalty on pass plays for "face guarding." What you describe is face guarding. There is no penalty under current NFL rules for this act,

As you know, that’s why there’s a hole in the roof of Texas Stadium and on in the new stadium. So He can watch His team play on Sunday, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays.

Why would the Falcons want another bad QB?
