Has Any Body Else Notice FR Being Slow To load The Last Few Weeks.

I have noticed the last few weeks or slow FR has been slow to download when going to various sites in the site.

Thanks for posting this. It’s been real bad. Is FR being constantly Bombarded with lefty denial of service attacks or something? It’s turned into just about the slowest site I visit.

It’s only slow for those FReepers who have never contributed to a fundraiser.

Sorry :) I'm a monthly and it's been slower. In fact the Internet slowed to a crawl across the board on my cable connection over the weekend. Comcast told me I had to wait until Thursday for a serviceman to appear. But then, within a couple hours of my heated exchange with them, it cranked right back up again. They figured something out.

But now FR is right back to where it was, slow to load.

I think it might be due to some mysterious internal change in Google’s ranking algorithm.

FreeRepublic articles are now coming up ABOVE the actual website that produced the content.

Even stranger, any new thread on FreeRepublic is indexed within 5 minutes now, sometimes within 2 minutes!! You can check it yourself. Go to new threads, see the title to the thread, copy it and paste it into a Google search. Google is indexing FR continuously now. I wouldn’t be surprised if the spider bot traffic is a partial cause of this.

I’m glad this was posted, I’ve restarted my computer several times thinking that would help...still slow. At least, I know now it isn’t just my computer.
