Free Republic Servers Slowing Down?

Anyone else notice it can take up to 10 - 15 seconds to post lately? One of the things I admired about FR technology- besides the design- was the instantaneous posting speed.
Does this has anything to to with more traffic or the volume of archives?

When it goes down altogether we go to Yahoo to see what’s happening. Sometimes the freerepublic2 group is also down, like right now, which indicates some kind of coordinated attack.

To keep ALL the archives Seems like in the past the archives were de-linked at least once because of server problems.

I couldn’t post at all, I think it was Thursday afternoon, but I wasn’t sure if it was my connection or FR. Since I hadn’t seen anything posted until this, I assumed it was me. Hmmmm, maybe not.

I’ve noticed lags when I hit the post button and sometimes I just get *Server Not Found* for FR but anything else I try comes up.

I read this thread earlier but tonight it's real bad. Just took almost a min to bring up this thread and probably gonna be another min to post. It’s been REALLY slow lately.
Probably denial of service attacks from the tolerant left I imagine.
