****THE OFFICIAL FRIDAY SILLINESS THREAD****

Yummm....Candy.....

All work and no play is no fun. So why not have some fun with candy.

This candy straddles an odd line. Looks like a pack of candy cigarettes, and yet aerobics appear to be involved. This is from Holland, so perhaps something was lost in the translation.

This is French Canadian, eh? Made by Hershey's, who apparently decided that what the Canadians wanted to do was EAT MORE. Sounds awfully American to me....

Well, you can't say they didn't warn you before you decided to eat it.

May contain sharp objects...

From the makers of Asslis...

Yummm...good stuff

I liked those when I was a kid too; although, my all-time favorite candy is still....

My mom and I used to go to the penny candy store in the village and I would get a baggie of Swedish Fish.

My mom still buys a bag for me once in a while. Moms never forget what makes their kids smile :)

I’ve never seen those before. Are they like gummy bears?

Yep. Junior Mints for the movies. My favorite, too. Way better than popcorn. I often get Dots for movies, out of nostalgia. That’s my Mom’s favorite. I hate how they get stuck to my teeth, but I eat them anyway, and they last longer than the Mints.

MHG, thanks for my laugh of the day. Something about that post just tickled me. I don’t know if it was the minty duds or the port, but thanks.

They're not rubbery like Gummy Bears. They're more chewy and really yummy. If you like cherry candy look for them in the candy aisle of your grocery store or convenient store.

Do you remember candy necklaces?

Two little old ladies were sitting on a park bench outside the local town hall where a flower show was in progress. The thin one leaned over and said, “Life is so darned boring. We never have any fun any more. For $5.00 I’d take my clothes off and str**k through that stupid flower show!”

“You’re on!” said the other old lady, holding up a $5.00 bill.

The first little old lady slowly fumbled her way out of her clothes and, completely n***d, str**ked (as fast as an old lady can) through the front door of the flower show.

Waiting outside, her friend soon heard a huge commotion inside the hall, followed by loud applause and shrill whistling. The smiling and n**ed old lady came through the exit door surrounded by a cheering crowd.

“What happened?” asked her waiting friend.

“I won 1st prize as Best Dried Arrangement.”

Please note, there is not third glass of Port, however. And the best place to keep the Milk Duds is a leftover Whitman’s box ... that faint wisp of chocolate never leaves a Whitman’s box.
