(and how manny kids know what TRON stands for?)
TRON stands for General/Chat, TV/Movies.
Stands for TRace ON in BASIC.
‘Bout Time They Did A Sequel PING
It took more than its share of my then-minimum wage lunch money. *sigh*
The MCP requests tech ping
Will there be a New TRON weapon? Will it leave buildings standing, but kill people?
Before they do a remake of any film, they should poll fans to find out what they liked and what they didn’t like in the original. For instance:
Logan’s Run: What was good:
Great costumes. Girls can still wear cute dresses. They don’t have to wear pants. And they can also have their hair styled. Jenny Agutter was magnificent. The Sandman costumes were also good, simple and distinctive.
A few of the other sci-fi bits, like the body dissolving spray.
What wasn’t:
Ridiculously expensive but still fake looking cityscapes, even though the city sets were really good.
“Box”, the robot, who in the previews seemed to be a major character, but in the movie got about one minute of screen time. Not a very threatening-looking robot either.
Those agonizingly low tech green holograms used during the interrogation.
The handguns had possibilities, but were mis-used and overused.
The scenes in the decrepit capitol building were almost embarrassing.
Spam is the new weapon
Same here. I remember watching 'TRON' in the theatres. Wonder if they'll get Wendy Carlos to score the soundtrack again?
Think video game tie ins.
Think toy sales.
Think action figures.
oh and somewhere a story about computers or something computery.
Quantum computing?
Hopefully it will not be “TRON: Voyager” (think star trek)
I hope it’s good. I love the original movie and the game (except for the motor cycle races) is superlative. I think I’d prefer a sequel to the game over the movie.
This time, Tron is the service broker for a UDDI SOA-enabled application. He will gather requirements, hold weekly IPT meetings, and meet with the customer for interface specifications.
Tron is short for the Archangel Metatron, of whom some say, Enoch was translated into which there are certain parallels to the legend in the movie.
