A fast food chains racy new advertising campaign has left at least one teachers organization demanding it be pulled.
The ad for St. Louis, Missouri-based Hardees Corporation features a sexy teacher, making provocative moves in front of the class while two students rap to a song called "Flat Buns, according to a report on myFOXstl.com.
"How irresponsible can you get? said the Tennessee Education Association in a statement on their website. At this very moment, there are female teachers in high school classrooms with 30+ students who are working hard to teach our children so that they can compete in today's world. It is unbelievably demeaning to every one of them to promote a television advertisement showing a young teacher gyrating on top of her desk while boys in the class rap about her body in order to sell hamburgers!"
Hardees claims the ad is obviously a spoof, pointing out that the target demographic for the ad is young men who find this type of ad campaign appealing.
The fast-food chain courted controversy before with a provocative hamburger ad featuring Paris Hilton.

You know something?
We are raised being self-congratulatory about how “free” America is, from birth.
The first thing you notice when you travel many places, is how many things people in those other places can do, which we CANNOT DO, because of a bunch of hung-up, crybabies and judgemental whiners.
Seriously. Are we even a free country anymore?
It really time to start standing up to Political Correctness. Seriously. Everyone is sick of it. Even many liberals are sick of it.
Yet Republicans FLEE at the slightest hint of confrontation.
Bush caves. Then he apologizes, then advocates for those who would come here illegally.
Everyone caves.
PLEASE STOP CAVING. Stop apologizing. Stop backing down. For crying out loud. This is not what made America great. Worse, it is *destroying* everything which is great about of wonderful nation.
Practice saying these two words whenever you see someone complaining.
(say them loudly, and without apology)
“STOP WHINING”
Thank you. :)
You don’t have to reference the USSR — this ad could be banned in today’s “Old Europe”..... a fact that highlights the authoritarian communist that lurks within even moderate left-wing ideologues.
Ie. the entire Democrat party, plus an ostensibly large mosaic of very confused Republicans.
Well, shoot! Let's just have the teacher doing a strip. That would appeal to the demographic even more.
Well said. I’m reminded of a quote from I don’t know who but it goes something like: “Show me how much persecution a citizen is willing to take, and I will show you much persecution will be heaped upon them.”
lighten up!
it wasn’t that Bad.....
lighten up!
it wasn’t that Bad.....
It is absolutely ironic that our forefathers and founding fathers in the USA shed their blood fighting King George III and British Imperialism, and than Nazism, Communism...only to have the enemy defeat us from within.
How did this thread devolve into this? I thought we were talking about burgers and babes.
I suppose you can make that argument. “Heck, they are only appealing to their demographic of junkies and crack whores, so it’s OK.” Sounds strange.
How about we just ban fast food and beautiful women? That will solve the problem. From now on, only Tofu and women who look like Janet Reno can be seen in TV commercials.
Let’s just have the teacher doing a strip.
BTW, I think you are right. There wasn’t nearly enough nudity in the commercial. She was not nearly dressed scantily enough.
I plan on writing my congresscritter and suggesting a law.
That song “Flat Buns” was kind of catchy. Who sings that? Does anybody know?
Now I sound like my father. Who would’ve thunk it.
I don’t remember this outcry from Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” video in 1984. When did the agenda afflicted PC crowd become so loud?
Exactly, where were these teachers when I was in school? I had nothing but fantasies and no real action. There ought to be a law, gosh darn it.
But somehow they can sexually harass one of their product models with impunity.
Why can't this model sue the pants off this company for making her a sex object as part of their ad campaign? Why isn't this considered "sexual harassment"?
I’m hot for teacher!
seriously, the teachers need to lighten up and worry about why their charges can’t read or do math.
(and it’s not because of racy commercials)
Right. There should be a criminal investigation.
Did they every find the people who put a gun to her head and forced her to act in the commercial?
In fairness to the teachers, it’s not their fault that inner city pop culture glamorizes drop outs and drug dealers while scorning kids who actually want to learn and become something.
I hate the NEA who want a “NO Teacher Left Behind Act” as much as anyone. But let’s be fair.
Put a motivated kid from a stable home in a “terrible” US school and I will bet you money the kid WILL learn and go onto better things.
Look at Colin Powell.
I'm sure the Company told her that if she didn't slip into that really really tight dress and stand on the desk and wiggle her buns in front of the camera that she was not going to get paid.
Try that with your secretary sometime.
