seriously, the teachers need to lighten up and worry about why their charges can’t read or do math.
(and it’s not because of racy commercials)
In fairness to the teachers, it’s not their fault that inner city pop culture glamorizes drop outs and drug dealers while scorning kids who actually want to learn and become something.
I hate the NEA who want a “NO Teacher Left Behind Act” as much as anyone. But let’s be fair.
Put a motivated kid from a stable home in a “terrible” US school and I will bet you money the kid WILL learn and go onto better things.
