Bills lead Denver, 14-6 on 23 yd rumble by Marshawn Lynch, who’s getting 6+ yds per run today.

Both he and defensive rookie Paul Posluszny looking pretty decent today.

This is a VERY balanced team. They are better at receiver, the RB corps is very deep and I like their return game. The D-Line will miss Seymour and Harrison’s suspension hurts. That said, I like Green a lot and I think that the secondary will be vastly improved.

We can yab on and on about this stuff at week one but January always looks different, no?

And since we are talking about Buffalo, it’s now 14-12 as Denver scores but fails on the 2-pt conversion...

Barring serious injuries this team will be playing into late January and hopefully in February.
Sammy Morris is running real well today along with Maroney.
Stallworth has not done anything today,Moss catches another first down......

Stallworth has a catch but this is the Randy Moss show today. That and the running game has taken over. Current drive is over 7:30 and that’s important in the 4th Q.

They look real solid on day one.Besides the muffed FGA it has been an excellent performance.

Looks like they just got a FG. That was a 10:30 drive of 17 plays and 75 yards. Chaaaaaaad (I hate that name) has to lead three scores in under 7 minutes.

Looking like NE wins on the road.

In the first half Cassels just dropped the snap and then was swarmed on...it would have been an easy FG.
This team will be much better than last year...not even close.
I hope Moss scores another TD today.

What happened with Pennington? There’s some guy named Clemens throwing incompletions according to ESPN Gamecast

The NE Patriots are leading NY Jets 31-14 with just a few minutes left (and they have the ball) so this game is about a wrap. However, the game is actually not as close as the score suggests. The Pats left a lot of points on the table during the 1st half due to some miscues. It should have been 24-7 at halftime at least.

Chad Pennington's knee looking a little shaky. I'm surprised the Jets put him back on the field with the game essentially decided.

Pat's offense...looking good!

Moss catches ball on 1 yard line and just can’t fall into endzone...that close!
Pennington got crunched by Jarvis Green and went out for awhile with an ankle injury. He did come back later in the game.

He’s got 193 yards today. With all of the coverage of him missing all of the preseason and being injured during camp he must have had a sudden recovery.

Maybe BB pulled another fast one on the Jets?

All the AFC games are on CBS and the NFC games are on FOX. For games between AFC and NFC teams whoever the road team determines the network.

That TD catch was amazing...he just strolled by 3 defenders and caught the pass in the endzone and acted like nothing happened.
Hobbs TD was the best, new NFL record.
