ORLANDO, Fla. -- A 40-year-old Denny's waitress was fatally stabbed in the neck and chest in front of dozens of customers and children at the tourist-filled International Drive restaurant, according to police.
Witnesses said the victim was met by her boyfriend Alejandro Casa, 47, Sunday night in the lobby area of the restaurant located at 7660 International Drive and Sand Lake Road.
Casa approached her and then repeatedly stabbed her with a steak knife before being chased out of the restaurant by other employees, according to witnesses.
Casa dropped the knife and lost a shoe as he fled the scene, police said.
"(The victim) was an employee and she was working on the floor when a Hispanic man walked in and attacked her viciously and intentionally," Orange County sheriff's Capt. Steve Lang said. "When he finished the attack, he was chased out of the restaurant by several people. He got away from those folks. We set up a perimeter but so far, we have not found him yet."
The homicide comes during a crime wave at Orlando's tourist spots, WKMG-TV reported.
Tourists said they were shocked to see the stabbing.
"I had dinner last night here and the lady who got killed was the woman who served my wife and I," Orlando tourist Juan Luis said.
"Even in England we have our problems but unfortunately there is a lot of violence and things like that going on," tourist Karen Wilkins said.
Police did not release the name of the victim because they said they were concerned about her children. Deputies said her children were missing late Sunday.
Investigators also said the victim recently obtained a restraining order against Casa but it had not been served.
Anyone with information concerning this crime is urged to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
So we aren't racists but we are bigots. ROFLOL!!
For what? Pointing out facts?
You have to be kidding me!?!?!?
See my tag line........
You may notice that some of the victims are illegal. I’m very aware of the disgusting Moslem-style (oops, is that bigoted? ;-) ) execution of the illegal Baltimore children.
Having been stabbed, and having seen many slashed, I prefer being stabbed to being slashed.
“Thank you for pointing this out. Im truly grateful to know that once weve deported Hispanic illegal aliens that our crime rate will sink drastically. (rolling eyes)”
You don’t think it would? I know it would where I live.
Only if you think the murder rate by firearms is acceptable.
Explain how the presumption that people are responsible until proven otherwise would be responsible for the commission of crimes by people who have been proven not to be responsible?
The primary function of 99% of "gun control" laws isn't to keep guns from criminals who shouldn't have them, but rather to keep them from those who should. If someone expects to use a gun on a particular day (e.g. because one is planning to rob a store) a 1% risk of getting caught with it beforehand would be pretty meaningless compared with the other risks one would face. But if one thought there was only a small chance the gun would be needed (e.g. one was a responsible citizen who wanted it ready in case of attack) that 1% risk would be a much stronger deterrent.
Perhaps you can find a gun control law someplace that actually affects real criminals more than the law-abiding. But the vast majority don't.
In my case, the guy got thwacked hard, one stab, bloody, bloody scene. It was a surprise attack and no gun could have saved him. The stab was done and the perp was gone. The perp was arrested later that same night.
It turns out, they were at one time best friends, and they were fighting over a girl. The victim was only 21. (sad)
((From the early 80s))
Yes, if that's such a 'comical' statement, why don't you show us some proof that it is wrong.
well they made it sound like people were just standing around watching it happen.. and if you can’t save someone in time it’s at least very very important to make the effort.
The press makes their living off of sensationalized, misrepresentations.
