Looks like the older cat may enjoy one of these. My 17 year old cat has had a version of this for about 10 or 14 years and she uses it even during the summer.

I believe our big old Maine Coon who passed away last May had pneumonia. I wish I had had one of those for him.

My little Killer Kitty back around January.

She’s now a lean, mean, 18" long nose to butt (no tail) Killer Kat. When she stretches it's closer to a couple feet long - I swear! I called her Killer Kitty because of her constant ambush attacks. My feet and back still carry the scars.

Cute kitty. We had one of those post cat toys, operative word being had. The kitty literally would chase the entire thing around on the floor and finally broke the thing!

My brother had a cat that would refuse to drink from his dish and would follow you into the bathroom waiting for you to wash your hands so he could drink from the tap.

He would also sit by the bathroom door and wait for someone to go in there.

Torties, always girls carry on, with an attitude. They can be sweet, but also let you know if you need to be put into your place. I know, have socialized a number of cats at the local no-kill shelter I volunteer at, and meet up with a number of them.
