IN the most decisive move of its kind in the history of the wrestling business, the WWE have suspended many of their biggest name wrestlers for breaking drug rules. The action came after the 10 men allegedly including former world champions Edge, King Booker and Randy Orton as well as Mr Kennedy and ECW champ John Morrison were identified as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando.
That company was busted by cops in February for the distribution of steroids and other prescription drugs to clients who had not been examined by a doctor.
It has now been established that their patient list included the 10 grapplers.

The New York Daily News has speculated that the ten are Randy Orton, Charlie Haas, Edge, King Booker, Shane Helms, Santino Marella, John Morrison, William Regal, Ken Kennedy and Chavo Guerrero.

Even though it turned out to not be the case, the Chris Benoit situation got Vince & the business a lot of attention.
It's horrible, but now that he's back, I sort of hope he overdoes it and injures himself again. A Triple H-free show is a good show, all things considered.
Then again, I like it more when Vince remembers he and his family members aren't the stars, and fades to the background. I could live happily if I never saw Vince, Shane or Steph on-air ever again.
WWE Attorney Jerry McDevitt Speaks Out On Suspensions, More
WWE attorney speaks about today's events...
WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt appeared on "On The Record" on FOX News today. Highlights are below.
* McDevitt said that WWE met with investigators today who said that WWE performers were clients of Signature Pharmacy. He said that WWE officials told the investigators that once the information was confirmed, they would act on it, and once it was confirmed, Vince McMahon did act on it by suspending 10 wrestlers.
* McDevitt said that two more suspensions may come down tomorrow once they confirm the information with the talent.
* McDevitt said that wrestlers have been told that they will be publicly identified in the future in hopes of bringing more transparency to the program and serve as a deterent to wrestlers.
* McDevitt said that this is not just a WWE problem. He said that Signature Pharmacy was sending drugs to policemen, firemen, and pro athletes. He said he heard that the NFL will be making an announcement soon. He said that human growth hormone is now the drug of choice and there is no way to test for that.
I think they already tried that a few years ago, right around where I lost interest.
Flame me if you want, but Jean-Guy is always gonna be a midcarder in my book.
Errr, whoops, should be Jean-Paul (Triple HGH)
Could be that Vinnie Mac’s feeling the heat from the feds, and this is a pre-emptive strike. I don’t think he’ll be able to sweep it under the rug this time. As Jim Ross would say: “business is about to pick up!”
Hey I don’t mind breaking kayfabe & calling him Paul. I liked him better with DX. At least up through the New Age Outlaws incarnation. Everything after that was proof you can’t go back. I do respect him for finishing matches with injuries. He doesn’t seem to be a primadonna in that regard. But like the rest of the McMahons, there’s been way too much air/ring time. It isn’t necessary for one wrestler to always either have the belt or be the #1 contender for it. He’s OK but after the demise of WCW & therefore no competition for (then) WWF, it all started going downhill fast, especially when he started dating Stephanie. I miss the old territory days. The belts moved around more & the characters were more clearly defined. Levesque will probably own that company one day if McMahon hasn’t already done irreparable damage to wrestling.
Thanks for the ping
hope you have a good weekend
Well, that would explain Big Vis’ man-boobs. Almost as big as Abdullah the Butcher’s. Dude needs a bro/mansierre. :)
Oh well, I’ve ALWAYS liked Steph! It could be worse, They could bring back Moolah and Mae young.
the real headline? “WWE pulls ahead of major league baseball in another category”.
