From Julie Bradford at All About Beer:
We learned this morning that Michael Jackson died last night at his home in London. Were feeling stunned, and know his many friends will, too. We are both devestated and saddened since he was a friend, a mentor and one of our favorite writers. We talked with his staff and his death appears to have been peaceful.
You may also know of the extent of his illness which he had begun discussing publicly in the past several months.

Get inspired and think of all the components of beer; dried malt extract, malt syrup, yeast, grains, and even the more abstract items such as maltose and beyond!
R.I.P. During my beer brewing days in the 80’s his books were an inspiration.
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael last September. He seemed to be in poor health at that time, but still was a pleasure to talk to. His beer books are incredible and he will be greatly missed
Was he the Scotch guru?
Beer, scotch and whiskey were his areas of expertise - incredible expertise. He was the Robert Parker of those three beverages.
Poor guy. Parkinson’s disease is rough.
This one tastes and reviews Beer as others would review Wines.
The Beer Hunter is a great piece of work. It inspired me to brew more complex styles (and to drink more of them as well). RIP.
ROLF! :)... I feel exactly the same!... Wacho, one of the main corruptors of the culture... Preacher and participant all at once!... Not that he is the only one, but one of the great culture-corrupters anyway.
I fond (maybe too fond) of the stuff myself.
God rest his soul. Back when I younger and had little money but a taste for quality beer, his guides helped me determine which beers I should sample with my meager funds. He never steered me wrong.
and not the British-born lib talk host who was on in L.A.

My best friend’s husband shares the name with the gloved one. This guy is a big bald Marine, though. We like to have fun with him.
Think that's bad there is a fellow in Arizona who runs USO shows that kids perform in for the Veterans Homes and such. Poor guy's name is Bill Clinton. He will introduce himself as, "Not that Bill Clinton."
beer ping.
Why should I change? He’s the one who sucks. There was nothing wrong with this name until I was 12 and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys...
Sad knews PING for all beer lovers.
Cheers,
knewshound
